A postal and package receptacle includes a main body that has an open top and a lid over the top that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The lid is moved from the open to the closed position upon receiving an open command via a wireless communication, whereupon a package can be placed in the interior of the main body. After a package is placed in the interior of the main body, the lid can be closed. A drone can be programmed to deliver a package to the postal and package receptacle and upon arriving at the location of the postal and package receptacle, the drone can communicate with the postal and package receptacle to issue the open and close commands, accordingly.

A light emitter is coupled to the box to kill bacteria and sterilizing the parcel delivered by the parcel delivery person. A cooler is positionable within the box for receiving a food delivery positioned therein.

The present invention discloses a system particularly adapted for refrigerated or heated goods that can keep the goods at a desired temperature until the goods are picked up by the patrons. More precisely, there is disclosed a secured delivery box for storing and providing access to goods therefrom, comprising: a structure defining storage areas to store the goods; doors, wherein each door is controllably movable between a closed position and an open position respectively preventing and providing access to a respective one of the storage areas; locking mechanisms, wherein each locking mechanism is associated to a respective one of the doors, and wherein the locking mechanisms when in a lock state lock the respective door in a closed position preventing access to the respective one of the storage areas; and a processor connected to Internet and to the locking mechanisms, wherein the processor is adapted to signal the locking mechanisms to exit the locked state.

A safe delivery container, system and method which permits tracking of the state of the container and controlled release of its contents. Determination of the state of the container is preferably provided according to a plurality of sensors, including without limitation a temperature sensor, GPS tracking device, accelerometer, gyroscope, and an IMU. Tracking of the state of the container is preferably supported through a communication module which may for example comprise a SIM card. Such a communication module preferably enables the sensor signals to be transmitted to a remote location. Alternatively and/or additionally, communication of such sensor signals may occur when the container is brought into communication contact with each of a plurality of local communication devices. Upon receipt of such state information for the container, optionally and preferably the state information is written to a distributed ledger technology (DLT) such as for example the blockchain.
