CURRENT SENSING IN POWER TOOL DEVICES USING A FIELD EFFECT TRANSISTOR
Power tool devices described herein include a housing, a power source interface, a field effect transistor within the housing connected between the power source interface and a load of the power tool device, and an electronic processor coupled to the field effect transistor. The electronic processor is configured to control the field effect transistor to drive the load and measure a voltage at a terminal of the field effect transistor. The electronic processor is also configured to determine the current flowing through the field effect transistor based on the voltage without using a shunt resistor.
Wall saw and interchangeable assemblies for wall saws
A concrete cutting machine includes a motor, a pivot arm, and a concrete cutting chain assembly. The motor has an output drive, and the pivot arm has an input coupled to the output drive for receiving power from the motor. The arm is configured to pivot relative to the motor, and the pivot arm has a pivot arm output. The concrete cutting chain assembly is supported on the pivot arm and has a power input coupled to the pivot arm output. The chain assembly is configured to be pivotable relative to the pivot arm.

Collapsible chainsaw
The present invention is a collapsible chainsaw. The chainsaw includes a protective housing to which a saw bar having a saw chain is rotatably mounted at one end via a notched positioning hub. The chainsaw has two configurations. These configurations are the open or cutting configuration, which positions the saw bar straight out from the housing or main body of the chainsaw, and a collapsed or closed configuration, which positions the saw bar parallel to the housing.

CHAINSAW
A chainsaw includes a housing including a handle housing portion, a motor housing portion, and a drive housing portion. The handle housing portion has a cavity extending along a longitudinal axis defining a first axis. A motor includes an output shaft having a longitudinal axis that defines a second axis. The chainsaw also includes a driven gear coupled to the output shaft, a sprocket coupled to the driven gear such that rotation of the driven gear rotates the sprocket, and a guide bar extending from the drive housing portion and having a longitudinal axis that defines a third axis of the chainsaw. The first and second axes define an included angle less than 75 degrees, the second and third axes define a second included angle between 110 degrees and 130 degrees, and the first and third axes define an external angle between 150 degrees and 170 degrees.
Chain saw and method for tensioning a saw chain of a chain saw
The disclosure relates to a chain saw having a housing and a drive motor. The guide bar is held on the housing by way of a releasable fastening arrangement and, when the fastening arrangement is released, by way of a tensioning device is displaceable in relation to the housing in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the guide bar. The chain saw includes a chain lifting device which is configured separately from the tensioning device. The chain lifting device in a deflected position of the chain lifting device is configured for deflecting the saw chain when the tensioning device tensions the saw chain, and in an operating position of the chain lifting device is configured for relaxing the saw chain when the guide bar is fixed.
