WORKING MACHINE
A working machine may include a working part and a body including a motor accommodating part. The body may include a fan, a motor, and one or more first air intake openings. The motor accommodating part may include a wall and a second air intake opening. In a case where the fan is driven, air outside the body may pass through the one or more first intake openings and the second intake opening sequentially in this order, and flows into the motor accommodating part. At least one of the one or more first intake openings may be positioned above the second intake opening in a working state of the working machine. In the axial direction, the one or more first intake openings may be positioned on a second side of the second intake opening, the second side being opposite the first side in the axial direction.

Knives and Other Tools and Devices Incorporating Cutting Chains
Tools and other devices incorporating cutting chains are disclosed. In some examples, a knife comprises a chain of cutting links positioned along a chain path around a saw bar having a rail, wherein each of the cutting links comprises a groove such that the cutting links straddle the rail of the saw bar. In some examples, a knife comprises a chain of cutting links and a plurality of motors for driving the chain of cutting links. In some examples, a knife comprises a chain of cutting links driven along a blunt edge of the knife. In other examples, the tool is an axe, hatchet, or other device.
Hand-held electric chainsaw
A hand-held electric chainsaw includes a housing, a chain guide, a saw chain, a motor, a hand guard, a protective cover, and a stop pin. The housing includes a grip section. The chain guide is connected to the housing. The saw chain is movable circumferentially along the periphery of the chain guide. The motor is drivingly connected with the saw chain. The hand guard is connected to the housing and disposed between the grip section and the saw chain. The protective cover covers and is located outside a part of the saw chain that moves from the housing in a direction away from the housing. The stop pin is disposed between the saw chain and the grip section, located outside a part of the saw chain that moves in a direction toward the housing, and oriented perpendicular to a circumferential movement direction of the saw chain.
CHAINSAW SHARPENING FEATURES AND DEVICES
Chainsaws and methods of operating chainsaws are provided. A chainsaw includes a guide bar supporting a chain; a motor configured to drive the chain, the motor receiving power from an electrical energy source of the chainsaw; a sprocket operably coupled between the motor and the chain to impart driving force from the motor to the chain; and an operating device operably coupled between the motor and the sprocket and moveable between a driving state and a neutral state, wherein the chain is freely moveable in at least one direction relative to the motor when the operating device is in the neutral state.
Controls, Feedback, Cutting Variations, and Accessories for Chain Saws
Disclosed herein are safety and other controls for chain saws, feedback for use with chain saws, cutting variations in chain saws, and accessories for use with chain saws. In one example, a system comprises a chain saw, a sensor for detecting a condition, and a control system programmed to take an action upon detection of a programmed condition. The chain saw may comprise links with engaging hooks and recesses for articulation without decoupling. The saw bar may comprise a rail, and the links may have grooves such that the links straddle the rail. In one example, a sensor may comprise an image sensor, and a condition detected by the sensor may comprise a position of the chain saw. The control system may be programmed to take action such as to stop or direct movement of the chain saw and/or to produce a perceptible signal.
Electric Working Machine
According to an aspect of the present invention, an electric working machine is provided. The electric working machine comprises a motor, an operation portion, a working portion, and a controller. The working portion is configured to be driven by the motor and act on a work target. The operation portion is configured to be operated by an operator. The controller is configured to control a maximum power that can be input to the motor to a first power when receiving an operation signal indicating an amount of operation to the operation portion. Further, the controller is configured to perform first switching control to switch the maximum power to a second power that is less than the first power when rotation speed of the motor becomes less than a first threshold due to a load on the working portion.
POWERED HANDHELD CUTTING TOOL
A handheld cutting tool includes a housing including a motor housing portion, a drive housing portion, and a handle portion extending from one of the motor housing portion or the drive housing portion. A motor is located in the motor housing portion. A driven gear is coupled to the motor for receiving torque therefrom. A first guard extends between the handle portion and one of the drive housing portion or the motor housing portion, and a second guard extends between the drive housing portion and one of the handle portion and the motor housing portion. A guide bar extends from the drive housing portion at an angle offset relative to the handle portion and the first and second guards. A chain is supported on the guide bar, and a battery pack is removably coupled to a bottom part of the handle portion.
