The tension indicator (240) is provided at the core (420) and is visible at at least one of the first side plate 10 (400) or the second side plate (410). The tension indicator (240) is configured to indicate a chain tension based on a position of the guide bar (120).

The laminate core (260) includes channels (270) for delivery of the water to nozzles (300, 310, 320) formed along a periphery of the guide bar (120). A glue layer (280) is provided to affix the laminate core (260) to the first side plate (200) and second side plate (210), respectively. The glue layer (280) forms the nozzles (300, 310, 320) in combination with the laminate core (260).

To improve the lubrication of the bearing the invention proposes that the lubrication system (6) comprises a lubrication reservoir (7) which is in fluidic connection (8) with the bearing (5), wherein the lubrication reservoir (7) is sealed against the environment by at least one valve element (9).

The lubricating component delivers oil to the cutting element.

The melting chamber is delimited at least partially by a heat conducting element which is heated during operation of the work apparatus.

Handheld work apparatus

A handheld work apparatus has a drive motor which drives a tool of the work apparatus. A lubricating arrangement is provided for the tool. The lubricating arrangement includes a lubricant piece that is solid at 20 C. The work apparatus has a melting chamber into which the lubricant piece projects and which is connected to the tool via at least one lubricant channel.
