STOCK GUIDE ASSEMBLY
20170066154 · 2017-03-09 · ·

A stock guide assembly guides movement of stock along a work table. The assembly includes a base and a roller operatively connected to the base to engage stock and hold it against the work table. In some embodiments, a biasing member yieldably biases the roller to urge the stock toward the work table and accommodate changes in thickness of the stock. The roller can be mounted at a skew angle to urge the stock toward a fence of the work table. The assembly can include a shaft movable with respect to the base for translationally adjusting the distance of the roller from the base and rotatably adjusting the distance between the roller and the work table. The roller can be rotatably mounted to the end of an arm oriented relative the work table so stock kickback drives the arm to pivot and drive the roller toward the work surface.

The transporting roller (1) has teeth (6) arranged in a distributed manner over the circumference. To allow a high advancing force to be achieved with the transporting roller (1) at the same time as an only low pressing force over a long operating time and service life, at least some of the teeth (6) comprise a main tooth (7) and at least one secondary tooth (9), which is arranged at a distance from the main tooth and has a smaller tooth tip radius (r2) than the main tooth (7). With the secondary teeth (9), there is an additional transfer of force exerted on the workpiece (2). The secondary teeth (9) limit the depth of penetration of the main teeth (7). When there is a high pressing pressure, the secondary teeth (9) penetrate partially into the work-piece (2). The main and secondary teeth (7, 9) penetrate only slightly into the workpiece (2), and so only a small amount of material has to be removed to eliminate any markings.

POWER FEEDER AND FENCE FOR INVERTED ROUTERS
20170036370 · 2017-02-09 ·

An electrically powered work piece feeder for use with inverted routers or small shapers incorporates improvements in adjustability which enhances accuracy, convenience, and safety in the use of such power tools. The powered feeder element mounts on a table fence and has an inverted roller suspended over the table adjacent a working face. Mounting structure permits positional adjustment of the roller in spatial relation to the power tool cutter and a workpiece on the table so as to propel the workpiece on the table over the power tool cutter and along the working face in the direction of the longitudinal feed axis. An out-feed section may be provided on the fence that includes inner and outer wedge-shaped ramps movable with respect to one another along the longitudinal feed axis and adapted to be locked together, thus allowing slow and precise advancement of the outer ramp toward the router.

Machine for Dividing a Timber Body and Method for Controlling Such a Machine
20250144836 · 2025-05-08 ·

A machine and a method for controlling such a machine that includes a feeder unit and a sawing station, the feeder unit being located upstream the sawing station. The sawing station includes a first sawing unit including a set of first saw band(s) and a pair of first support rollers, and a second sawing unit including a set of second saw band(s) and a pair of second support rollers, wherein the location of each support roller is adjustable in the transverse direction. The support rollers are configured to engage the timber body. The method is characterized by the steps of feeding the timber body by means of the feeder unit into the sawing station during the timber body dividing operation. The pair of first support rollers engage the timber body, positioning the pair of second support rollers at an initial mutual distance correlating to the real width of the timber body, and decreasing the mutual distance between the pair of second support rollers during the timber body dividing operation until reaching. At the end of the timber body dividing operation, a final mutual distance between the pair of second support rollers correlating to the real width of the timber body minus the total thickness of the set of first saw band(s).
