A stop unit, in particular to an angle stop, for guiding and/or for the feed of a workpiece to a saw blade of a bench saw, including a stop arm which extends in a longitudinal direction for the contact of the workpiece. The stop arm includes a main section which is manufactured from a first material and which extends over more than half the longitudinal extension of the stop arm, and at least one second end section which is arranged on an end of the main section which is located in the longitudinal direction. The second section is able to come into contact with the saw blade given an advance of the workpiece towards the saw blade, where the at least one end section is manufactured from a second material.

A push block for a woodworking tool includes a heel member at an end of the push block and the heel member is passively actuatable to an extended position to engage a trailing end surface of a work piece to advance the work piece by a working element. The push block also includes a wall member along a first side of the push block to serve as a barrier between a cutting element and an operator's hand. In addition, the push block includes a handle that is disposed obliquely relative to first and second sides and a longitudinal axis of the push block.

A work-piece securing apparatus for metal or wood working equipment, for example a miter saw, involves a support element mounted on the equipment and an elongated work-piece securing element movably supported by the support element. The support element is configured to receive and support the securing element such that the securing element retains mobility while supported on the support element to permit manual manipulation of the securing element to position the work-piece on the equipment and/or to position a work-piece engaging portion of the securing element at a desired contact point on a work-piece when the work-piece is positioned to be worked by a tool of the equipment.

A work-piece securing apparatus for metal or wood working equipment, for example a miter saw, involves a support element mounted on the equipment and an elongated work-piece securing element movably supported by the support element. The support element is configured to receive and support the securing element such that the securing element retains mobility while supported on the support element to permit manual manipulation of the securing element to position the work-piece on the equipment and/or to position a work-piece engaging portion of the securing element at a desired contact point on a work-piece when the work-piece is positioned to be worked by a tool of the equipment.

A safety system with a number of component devices that may be used alone or in combination to substantially reduce the risk of injury to the operator of the power cutting tool. The devices are designed for use with table saws, miter saws, jointers, routers, shapers and similar equipment. The devices secure a work piece against unanticipated movement and kickback while simultaneously protecting the operator's hands. The devices further enhance the capabilities of power equipment to make precise cuts safer, faster and easier. According to aspects of the present disclosure, one such device includes a guide member for engaging a work piece and an adjustable alignment member for orienting the position of the guide member relative to a cutting blade.

A safety system with a number of component devices that may be used alone or in combination to substantially reduce the risk of injury to the operator of the power cutting tool. The devices are designed for use with table saws, miter saws, jointers, routers, shapers and similar equipment. The devices secure a work piece against unanticipated movement and kickback while simultaneously protecting the operator's hands. The devices further enhance the capabilities of power equipment to make precise cuts safer, faster and easier. According to aspects of the present disclosure, one such device includes a guide member for engaging a work piece and an adjustable alignment member for orienting the position of the guide member relative to a cutting blade.

A workpiece handling tool for handling a workpiece without endangering a user's hands near a hazard includes a tool head with a first engagement member and a second engagement member which are spaced from each other. The first and second engagement members are resiliently bendable and spaced at such a distance that they may bend to accommodate the workpiece between the first and second engagement members and clamp onto the workpiece. A handle is attached to the tool head to facilitate grasping the workpiece handling tool via a hand.

A workpiece handling tool for handling a workpiece without endangering a user's hands near a hazard includes a tool head with a first engagement member and a second engagement member which are spaced from each other. The miter bar includes a first portion to which the miter housing is attached and that has a fixed first width and a second portion having a width adjustment system configured to adjust a second width of the second portion.
