Bone-cutting jig system
There is disclosed a system and methods for safely, precisely, and efficiently cutting cadaveric bone segments into a number of dimensionally standardized pieces. One embodiment provides a jig system for use with a band saw. The jig system may include a v-shaped trough riding upon a plate and at least one rail designed to glide within a corresponding groove formed in the band saw table and stretching parallel to the blade. The trough may include a channel having a series of incremental stops extending between its proximal and distal ends. A bone-advancement wedge may be advanced proximally along the channel between the incremental stops to advance at least one bone segment within the trough toward the proximal end of the trough such that, by sliding the rail(s) within the table groove(s), a desired incremental portion of the bone segment is introduced to the blade. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
MITER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
A guide assembly for use with a tool to guide movement of the tool along a channel defined by a work platform. The guide assembly comprises an elongate bar slidably received in the channel. The elongate bar has a width that is less than a width of the channel. The elongate bar defines recesses extending from a first side of the elongate bar toward a second side of the elongate bar. Guides are moveably mounted in one of the recesses of the elongate bar to adjust a working width of the guide assembly to fit the width of the channel. Each guide projects from its recess and has a portion thereof disposed outward of the first side of the elongate bar. The working width of the guide assembly extends between the second side of the elongate bar and the portion of the guide disposed outward of the first side of the elongate bar.

WOODWORKING MACHINERY FLIP STOP SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Jigs and fixtures for aligning, guiding, and/or holding a workpiece on woodworking machinery during a woodworking operation are described, as well as methods of making, modifying, and using jigs and fixtures.
WORK TABLE FENCE ASSEMBLY AND SLED THEREFOR
A sled assembly configured to push stock along a fence includes a carriage and rollers mounted at spaced apart positions. The rollers engage the fence to guide movement of the carriage therealong and each has a peripheral portion for being received in a fence race. An adjustable roller mount selectively adjusts the position of the roller to align the peripheral portions of the rollers with the width of the race. An adjustable fence assembly includes an outfeed fence movable relative to an infeed fence. An outfeed fence adjustment mechanism includes mounting posts at spaced apart locations along the length of the outfeed fence movable to drive movement of the outfeed fence along an axis transverse to the feed direction.

Metal or wood working equipment with work-piece securing apparatus
A work-piece securing apparatus for metal or wood working equipment, for example a miter saw, involves a support element mounted on the equipment and an elongated work-piece securing element movably supported by the support element. The support element is configured to receive and support the securing element such that the securing element retains mobility while supported on the support element to permit manual manipulation of the securing element to position the work-piece on the equipment and/or to position a work-piece engaging portion of the securing element at a desired contact point on a work-piece when the work-piece is positioned to be worked by a tool of the equipment.

Sliding sled for cutting precision segments on a band saw
A device and method are disclosed. An embodiment of a sliding sled for use on a saw table includes a flat plate, adjustable guide fences on the flat plate at a fixed pivot end to create an oblique angle relative to the saw table, an indexing system including angle indicators to set the angles of the adjustable guide fences, roller bearings on the bottom side of the flat plate for riding on the ACCU-SLICE rail, and a sawdust shield to keep sawdust off the roller bearings and ACCU-SLICE rail. Guide fences may have a fixed pivot end and a movable end and a locking bolt to temporarily fix the movable end at a desired position on the plate. The movable end of the adjustable guide fences may align with the angle indicators when the angle of the adjustable guide fence relative to the cutting plane corresponds to the angle indicators.
Table saw having a dual power train assembly
A table saw includes a base assembly, a table assembly supported by the base assembly, and a saw assembly supported by the base assembly. The saw assembly has a motor having a motor output shaft and a power train assembly. The motor is configured to rotate the motor output shaft at a first rotational speed. The power train assembly includes an intermediate shaft, a first gear stage, an arbor shaft, and a second gear stage. The first gear stage is configured to transmit rotation of the motor output shaft at the first rotational speed to rotation of the intermediate shaft at a second rotational speed, which is less than the first rotational speed. The second gear stage is configured to transmit rotation of the intermediate shaft at the second rotational speed to rotation of the arbor shaft at a third rotational speed, which is greater than the second rotational speed.
