Power miter saw having a fence with elevated platforms
A power miter saw includes a base assembly including a frame, cavities on a bottom of the frame, two supports at two sides of the frame respectively, and two parallel sliding rods passing through one support; a table assembly including a rotatable table mounted on the frame, a miter arm secured to the rotatable table, and a fence at an edge of the rotatable table and secured to the supports; and a saw blade and motor assembly. The fence includes a central curved top, two platforms at two ends of the central curved top respectively, two shoulders each at a joining portion of the curved top and the adjacent platform, and two aligned grooved members each extending outward from a position proximate the platform. The platforms are at an elevation greater than that of the miter arm.
TILE SAW
A tile saw includes a base, a frame assembly disposed on the base, a first rail disposed on the frame assembly, the first rail having a longitudinal axis, a table slidingly disposed on the first rail, a support assembly disposed on the base, a saw assembly supported by the support assembly, the saw assembly comprising a motor, a cutting wheel driven by the motor, the saw assembly being pivotable about a horizontal axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis, and a switch electrically connected to the motor and disposed on the support assembly so that, when the motor assembly is pivoted about the horizontal axis, the switch remains stationary.

Tile saw
A tile saw includes a base, a frame assembly disposed on the base, a first rail disposed on the frame assembly, the first rail having a longitudinal axis. A table is slidingly disposed on the first rail and a support assembly is disposed on the base. A fence assembly is attachable to the table and has a first fence and a second fence for contacting the workpiece. The second fence is pivotably attached to the first fence and pivotable about a substantially horizontal axis. A saw assembly is supported by the support assembly and includes a motor, and a cutting wheel driven by the motor.

FOLDABLE MITER SAWS AND FOLDABLE METHOD OF MITER SAW
Foldable miter saws and a folding method of miter saws are disclosed. The foldable miter saws includes a base unit, a worktable, and a cutting unit. The cutting unit includes a support arm pivotally mounted on the worktable, a saw blade, and a driver. The miter saw folding method includes the step of biasing the cutting unit relative to the base unit and the step of rotating the support arm relative to the base unit and the worktable to change the cutting unit from a working position to a folded position, thus reducing the vertical space occupied by the cutting unit and facilitating delivery, storage and package of the foldable miter saws.
FENCE ASSEMBLY FOR MITER SAW
A fence assembly for miter saw includes a mounting base defining a first abutting surface, and a fence unit mounted at the mounting base in one of first, second and third positions in such a manner that the second abutting surface of the fence unit is disposed co-planar with the first abutting surface of the mounting base when the fence unit is set in the first position; the third abutting surface of the fence unit is disposed in a non-coplanar relationship with the first abutting surface of the mounting base to face toward the same direction when the fence unit is set in the second position; the fourth abutting surface of the fence unit is disposed in a non-coplanar relationship with the first abutting surface of the mounting base to face toward the same direction when the fence unit is set in the third position.

FENCE ASSEMBLY FOR MITER SAW
A fence assembly for miter saw includes a mounting base mounted at a supporting base and defining a first abutting surface that extends perpendicular to a work surface of the supporting frame, a first fence member detachably mountable at the mounting base and defining a second abutting surface that is disposed perpendicular to the work surface of the worktable and co-planar with the first abutting surface of the mounting base, and a second fence member detachably mountable at the supporting base and defining a third abutting surface that is disposed perpendicular to the work surface in a non-coplanar manner relative to the first abutting surface of the mounting base. Thus, the user can selectively mount the first fence member or the second fence member to adjust the cutting stroke.
