MITOR SAW WITH ADJUSTABLE FENCE
20180361611 · 2018-12-20 ·

A miter saw includes a base, a turntable rotatable in relation to the base and including a work piece support surface, a support assembly attached to the turntable, and a saw assembly attached to the support assembly and configured to cut a work piece supported on the turntable. A fence assembly includes an elongate fence body that extends along a first axis. The elongate fence body is supported by the base and positioned over the turntable. The fence body has a first connecting structure, and a fence insert defining an elongate work piece abutment surface and having a second connecting structure. The fence assembly is positionable in a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the second connecting structure cooperates with the first connecting structure to secure the fence insert at a first position in relation to the fence body. When the fence assembly is positioned in the second configuration, the second connecting structure cooperates with the first connecting structure to secure the fence insert at a second position in relation to the fence body. A second axis intersects the first axis in a perpendicular manner. When the fence insert is secured at the first position, the elongate work piece abutment surface is positioned to intersect the second axis at a first point. When the fence insert is secured at the second position, the elongate work piece abutment surface is positioned to intersect the second axis at a second point, and the first point is offset from the second point along said second axis.

A miter saw includes a base, a table pivotally coupled to the base about a miter axis, a saw unit coupled to the table for movement with the table about the miter axis, and a fence having a stop protruding from a rear surface thereof that is engageable by the table and/or the saw unit to limit miter angle adjustment of the saw unit.

Fence assembly for miter saw

A fence assembly for miter saw includes a mounting base defining a first abutting surface, and a fence unit mounted at the mounting base in one of first, second and third positions in such a manner that the second abutting surface of the fence unit is disposed co-planar with the first abutting surface of the mounting base when the fence unit is set in the first position; the third abutting surface of the fence unit is disposed in a non-coplanar relationship with the first abutting surface of the mounting base to face toward the same direction when the fence unit is set in the second position; the fourth abutting surface of the fence unit is disposed in a non-coplanar relationship with the first abutting surface of the mounting base to face toward the same direction when the fence unit is set in the third position.

A dual angle guide (3) for ceramic cutting machines (1) includes a base (16); first and second positioning elements (4, 5) disposed on the base; a sector (9) calibrated with fixed angles for each positioning element; a first fixed stop (11) and a second fixed stop (12) for locating the positioning elements at a chosen angle on the respective calibrated sector (9); and rotation elements (13) for rotating the positioning elements in such a way that the positioning elements make it possible to make cuts in the ceramic piece (10) at different angles. The cuts are made by a cutting tool mounted to a sliding carriage (6). Each of the first and second positioning elements is rotatable in both a clockwise direction and an anti-clockwise direction in order to facilitate the scoring and cutting of the ceramic piece at various angles.

A miter saw extendable fence attachment for facilitating cutting of long pieces of wood includes a centerpiece that is complementary to a table of a miter saw. The centerpiece is configured for attachment to the table. Each of a pair of extensions comprises a support and a plate. The support is reversibly couplable to a respective opposing end of the centerpiece. The plate extends perpendicularly from a front of the support adjacent to a bottom of the support. The supports are positioned to couple to the centerpiece such that the plates are positioned coplanarly with an upper face of the table. The plates are configured to place a piece of wood for cutting with a blade of the miter saw.

ANGLE BISECTOR GAUGE
20180195850 · 2018-07-12 ·

An angle measuring gauge incorporates four arms pivotally connected to form a quadrilateral. The arms are connected to a guide bar that attaches to the quadrilateral along a diagonal and forms an axis of symmetry. A first corner of the quadrilateral is pivotally attached to the guide bar and the opposite corner of the quadrilateral is pivotally connected and is slidable along the guide bar to adjust the angles of the quadrilateral. In practice, the first corner of the quadrilateral is adjusted to conform to a desired angle, and the guide bar bisects the angle formed by the first corner and can be used to either ride in a miter slot of a cutting tool, or adjust a miter gauge of a cutting tool to cut accurate miters.
