An adaptive cutting system is presented that facilitates cutting workpieces in new and different ways in a fun, easy, fast, accurate and safe manner. The system includes a benchtop having a grid of bench dog holes across its surface as well as a pair of table tracks embedded within its surface. An edge track extends around the benchtop and a pair of hinge members are connected to the edge tracks that also connect to a saw track that is movable between a raised and lowered position. The system also includes narrow rip stops, wide rip stops, bench dogs and a miter gauge all of which work in concert with the on-table features to facilitate on-table measurement and alignment of workpieces for performing cutting operations.
Cutting Guide
A cutting guide for a saw having a blade lying in a cutting plane, the cutting guide comprising: a bracket configured to be attached to the saw; the bracket comprising a light clamp and a saw clamp; a light emitter removably attached to the bracket; the bracket configured to rotate the light emitter about a pivot axis parallel to the cutting plane about a pivot axis.

Moveable saw fence and saw support
A miter saw includes a base, a horizontal table supported by the base, an arm pivotably coupled to the base at a rear pivot point configured to permit the arm to pivot about a horizontal axis, a circular saw blade arbor supported by the arm at a location spaced forward from the rear pivot point, and a circular saw blade supported by and concentric with the arbor. The saw blade is configured to be driven to cut a workpiece on the horizontal table. The rear pivot point permits the blade to move along an arc in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal table. Between a rear edge of the arbor and a rear edge of the blade, the arm extends substantially above the height of the blade to allow substantially the entire blade area rearward of the rear edge of the arbor to be available for cutting the workpiece.

Table Saw Jig
The present invention relates to a table saw jig. The table saw jig is designed to enable accurate straight or angled cuts in a wooden workpiece. The jig features a flat or planar base plate and several pre-drilled holes at specific angles. The jig also includes an adjustable guide rail that is secured to a pair of symmetrically opposed pre-drilled holes and can be used for making accurate and repeatable cuts. A wood piece can be positioned along a rip fence of the guiderail allowing the wood piece to horizontally slide to facilitate accurate and repeatable cuts. The table saw jig reduces the time required to precut stocks as well as the amount of waste material produced during the cabinetry and woodworking process.
