MITER SAW
20190375060 · 2019-12-12 ·

A miter saw includes a fence assembly having a first fence fixedly coupled to a base of the miter saw. The fence assembly includes a moveable fence having a lower portion slidably received within a channel at least partially defined by the first fence. The fence assembly includes a locking member coupled to the first fence. The locking member extends into a groove defined by the lower portion of the moveable fence. The locking member is configured to engage the lower portion of the moveable fence to selectively lock the moveable fence between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the first fence. The fence assembly includes a retaining member coupled to the first fence and extending into the groove of the moveable fence. The locking member and the retaining member collectively restrict the moveable fence from moving in a direction away from the horizontal workpiece support surfaces.

WORKPIECE LIMITING DEVICE FOR POWER TOOLS
20190344365 · 2019-11-14 ·

A workpiece limiting device for power tools includes a support arm adapted to contact with a workpiece and limit the workpiece, and a body. The support arm is supported by the body and movable relative to the latter. The workpiece limiting device further includes a quick-release device. The quick-release device allows manual adjustment of the position of the support arm relative to the body and locks this position without using an external tool. Through the workpiece limiting device, the adjustment range of the position of the support arm relative to the power tool can be greatly expanded, and workpieces in different sizes can be processed.

Tile saw with adjustable fence and methods

A tile saw includes a saw with a cutting blade, a frame supporting the saw, a table supporting a workpiece and being slidable relative to the frame, and a rear fence secured to the table. The rear fence has an engagement surface and is adjustable between an operating position and a bypassed position. The bypassed position includes the engagement surface of the fence being no higher than even with the planar surface of the table to allow a workpiece to extend beyond a rear edge of the table. In the operating position, the engagement surface of the rear fence projects axially from the planar surface of the table to support the workpiece as the workpiece is pushed into the cutting blade during operation. The fence can be adjusted between the operating and bypassed positions by using any one of a cam lever clamp, pin and guideway, or rotatable latch.

Push-sticks for saws and storage systems thereof

Embodiments of the present invention provide improved storage options for push-sticks used in connection with rip fences on table saws and similar cutting devices where push-sticks might be used. The push-stick storage system may include a rip fence and a push-stick retention mechanism. The push-stick retention mechanism may be defined by upright side walls that define a channel or slot therebetween for receiving a push-stick. The retention mechanism may also include a stop (or a stop block) positioned at a first position within the channel, and a retainer positioned at a second position within the channel.

Adjustable stop assembly

An adjustable stop assembly includes a body, a cam, a lock knob, an adjustable rod, and an adjusting knob. The cam is movable into a locked position in which the hook portion is secured to a rail and an unlocked position in which the hook portion is spaced from the rail. The lock knob is configured to interact with the cam. The adjustable rod extends outward from a first side of the body by a first extension amount and a second side of the body by a second extension amount. The adjusting knob is configured to move the adjustable rod to adjust the first extension amount and the second extension amount. A minor sector portion of the adjusting knob is exposed by an opening in the body while a major sector portion of the adjusting knob is covered by the body at a given instance.
