Hand-Held Power Tool having a Height Adjustment Device
A hand-held power tool, more particularly a router, includes (i) a housing in which a drive unit for driving an insertion tool is disposed; (ii) a base plate for guiding the hand-held power tool on a workpiece surface, the base plate being height-adjustable on the housing, and the base plate having an opening, through which the insertion tool at least partly extends; and (iii) a height adjustment device for setting a working height of the base plate on the housing relative to the insertion tool. A setting aid is provided which allows height adjustment of a bottom of the base plate by way of the height adjustment device such that said bottom is flush with a predefined cutting edge of the insertion tool.
Method and apparatus for milling boards and flattening slabs
The present disclosure provides an apparatus, method and kit to flatten wide boards with an apparatus. The apparatus comprises two sets of rails, one set spanning laterally and the second set spanning longitudinally. The second set of rails is operative to move along the first set of rails by use of short members attached to the second set that interface with the first set of rails. Then, a carriage is operative to sit on top of the second set of rails and move along them. This is done by the carriage arms engaged on the second set of rails.

ROUTER INCLUDING CUTTING DEPTH LOCKING AND ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
A router includes a motor unit and a base that receives the motor unit. A threaded shaft is supported on either the motor unit or the base. A slide is supported on the other of the motor unit and the base. The slide engages with the shaft in a first position of the slide in which micro-adjustments to a cutting depth are permitted. The slide disengages with the shaft in a second position of the slide in which macro-adjustments to the cutting depth are permitted. With a lever in a locked position, neither macro-adjustments nor micro-adjustments are permitted regardless of the slide being in the first position or the second position. With the lever in a micro-adjustment position, only micro-adjustments are permitted with the slide in the first position. With the lever in an unlocked position, the lever disengages the slide from the shaft to permit macro-adjustments.

Router jig for cutting decorative profiles
A jig for profiling the end of an elongate workpiece, especially a coping or crown molding section, comprises a support for a sample to be copied, and for a profiling comb to be pushed against the sample to define a cam surface. A cutting tool can be mounted to follow a path defined by the cam surface, to cut the workpiece end to match the shape of the cam surface. The profiling comb is movable between a first position facing the sample support to form a profile and a second position in which the profile can contact the cam follower on the movable mounting. In its second position the comb extends at an acute angle to the longitudinal direction of the workpiece support, which is configured to support the workpiece at an acute angle about its longitudinal axis corresponding to the angle at which the comb is fixed.

Sign making apparatus and method
A kit for making a sign utilizing a router includes a plurality of interlocking templates that can be utilized to form the letters for a sign. The kit includes two or more templates that are positioned in the same location on a board in a sequence to form a single letter, number or symbol with an island with an uninterrupted perimeter. The kit also includes a guide bushing that is secured to the router bit to prevent the router bit from gouging into the templates.
