A heating blanket for a motorized wheelchair comprising: a windproof and waterproof fabric which covers a thermal lining having Velcro fasteners attached to at least one position thereof, has windproof and waterproof functions, and has a zipper and a zipped entrance/exit formed on the front and back sides thereof; at least one heating plate which is inserted into a back side windproof and waterproof fabric via the zipper and is detachably mounted on the thermal lining, wherein the heating plate is woven with carbon yarns so that the heating plate generates heat when electricity is applied; an electric wire, a connection part, an adjustment part, and a connection jack for supplying electricity to the heat plate, wherein the heating blanket is characterized in that the connection jack is connected to the outside to allow the heating plate to be heated.

A non-pharmaceutical hiccup remedy device that makes use of known treatments for hiccups but in a novel way is described. The device is a drinking cup with an extension that applies a cold finger extension to the cheek of the hiccup sufferer user simultaneous to drinking from the cup. The device has been found by the inventor to provide rapid alleviation of hiccups without the discomfort of prior solutions and without the side effects of pharmaceutical treatments for hiccups. The device can be sized and/or, in some embodiments, adjusted for the particular user, from child to adult.

An eating utensil that prevents food from dropping during loss of fine motor control by way of a retractable cover is disclosed. The head of the eating utensil is operatively associated with the retractable cover so that the latter is movable relative to the former between an open configuration and a closed configuration preventing food from spilling from the head of the utensil regardless of the head's orientation. An actuated arm engages both the utensil head and an elastic membrane of the retractable cover to effectuate selective control between the open and closed configurations. The actuated arm is operatively associated with system circuitry and electronics housed in a handle of the eating utensil, whereby the user can control power to the retractable cover.
