Log splitting article and method for implementing same
A log splitter is provided, wherein the log splitter includes a splitter housing, wherein the splitter housing defines a housing cavity, a splitter head, wherein the splitter head includes a splitter blade, a splitter butt plate and a splitter hydraulic cylinder, wherein the splitter head and splitter butt plate are configured to define a log cavity between the splitter blade and the splitter butt plate and wherein the splitter head is movably associated with the splitter housing and connected to the splitter hydraulic cylinder, such that the splitter head is movable along the length of the splitter housing.
Kindling splitter apparatus and methods of use
A wood splitter apparatus comprising a base portion and a leg portion extending upwards from the base portion. An elevated cross member portion extending across the leg portion. A blade portion extending superiorly from the cross member portion. A leading upward edge at a superior aspect of the blade portion for splitting wood. A first splitter surface angled from a second splitter surface inferior to the leading upward edge. A collector portion positioned below the blade portion where the collector portion has a capture space. The collector having a floor face at a bottom of said capture space. The collector portion supported at an angle such that the floor face is sloped defining a high side and a low side where kindling split from a log over the blade portion falls into the high side of the collector portion and gathers on the low side of the collector portion.

Stacked pail separation device
A pail separation device comprised of two halves, each half having a wedge at the end of an exterior brace, an interior brace having a curved face, and which is attached to the exterior brace, and a handle attached to the interior brace and to the exterior brace. Also included is a fastener for locking the two halves together. The two halves further include ridged surfaces that mesh together to reduce slipping. The first and second wedges are dimensioned to fit between pails in a stack of pails such that force applied to the first and second handles can push the first wedge and the second wedge between the pails of a stack of pails so as to separate those pails.

Wood Splitting Turntable Assembly
A wood splitting turntable assembly includes a base that has an end plate slot therein for positioning around an end plate of a log splitter when the log splitter is positioned in a vertical orientation. The end plate slot has a width of at least 8.0 inches and a depth of at least 9.0 inches. A bearing is coupled to the base and a turntable is coupled to the bearing. A log can be positioned on the turntable when the base is positioned around the base of the log splitter. Moreover, the turntable is rotatable on the base to rotate the log for splitting the log around an entire circumference of the log without requiring a user to lift and reposition the log. An elastomeric band is positionable around the log to inhibit the log from falling apart from the log is split.

FUEL PROCUREMENT TOOL AND METHOD(S) OF USE
A handheld tool configured to procure fuel is described. Embodiments of the fuel procurement tool include a handhold having a cutting mechanism located proximate one end of the handhold. Typically, the cutting mechanism can include at least one cutter link having a depth gauge, a top plate, and a gullet formed between the depth gauge and the top plate. The fuel procurement tool can be implemented to procure kindling from a piece of wood.

VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR LOG SPLITTING APPARATUS
A system for a log splitter that is configured to automatically remove power to a pump and motor assembly for a hydraulic actuator when a valve assembly is in a position other than a first position causing the splitting assembly to advance in a first direction or a second position causing the splitting assembly to advance in an opposite first direction. The system incorporates one or more sensors (e.g., transducers) configured to detect different positions of the valve assembly and generate signals that may be processed by a system controller to respectively allow power to flow to or disallow power from flowing to the fluid pump. The disclosed system advantageously results in reduced overall power consumption and noise levels.
