Silicone molding process for making a container with zipper members tapered at a flexible spout
A container comprising: a base and freestanding sides extending from the base to define a mouth opposite the base, wherein the mouth has first and second spouts opposite each other and first and second interior sides opposite each other between the first and second spouts; a first zipper member extending from the first interior side of the mouth from the first spout to the second spout; a second zipper member extending from the second interior side of the mouth from the first spout to the second spout, wherein the mouth is deformable between open and closed configurations and the first and second zipper members are disengageable when the mouth is open and engagable when the mouth is closed, wherein the base, sides, and zipper members are a unitary whole container without assembled parts, wherein the container comprises silicone.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING AN ICE STRAW
A system and method for making degradable drinking straws made of ice (or other frozen liquid(s)). The system may comprise one or more tubes configured to extend into a reservoir. The tubes may each be in fluid communication with a connecting bar, wherein fluid (e.g., a liquid and/or a gas) within the connecting bar may be directed into the tubes. The system may comprise a source of cold fluid and a source of hot fluid in fluid communication with the connecting bar. The degradable straw may comprise a wall (or thickness) made of ice with a hollow, cavity, and/or void space through the straw. The degradable straw may serve to cool the drink (as any other piece of ice within the drinking liquid) via placement in a drink and/or via the drink passing through the void space into a user's mouth.
Elongated tubular articles from wet-laid webs
Embodiments of the present invention relate to elongated tubular members that include at least one layer comprising a cellulose ester. In some cases, the cellulose ester may be in the form of staple fibers. The layer may be formed via a wet-laid fiber web that may also include cellulose fibers. The elongated tubular members may be suitable for use with food and/or beverage items as, for example, drinking straws or other similar items.
CONSTRUCTIBLE UTENSILS WITH LOCKING TAB
Utensil elements and methods for their fabrication. In one embodiment, a planar utensil element is fabricated of a foldable material, and has a length greater than a width. The planar utensil element comprises first and second scores, said scores being generally symmetrical about a midline running along the length of the planar utensil element, and indicative of where the planar element is to be folded in order to become a usable utensil. Folding the planar utensil element about the first and second scores produces a handle and a bowl. The handle is formed by two generally symmetrical halves joined together by interconnecting tabs in a “tab-lock” arrangement.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROTECTING BEER AND OTHER BEVERAGES FROM LIGHT ENERGY
The invention is a device and method for providing a protective shade covering for protecting a container of craft beer or similar, to reduce exposure of the beverage to light that may cause spoiling of the beverage. The device may consist of a base for placement upon a table or other surface, a back perpendicular to the base, and a top coupled to the back such that the top may be positioned over the top of a glass or tankard and provide a physical shield between the drink and light from a substantively overhead source such as a ceiling light or the sun. In preferred applications, the device may be provided as an amenity at a restaurant, taproom, or similar which serves tap beer to customers, particularly for enjoyment of the served beverage utilizing outdoor seating.
Molded Fiber Cutlery
The present disclosure is directed to biodegradable cutlery, and more specifically to spoons, forks, and knives. The biodegradable cutlery includes a plurality of recesses disposed on the handle forming a rib to resist twisting and bending. An indentation may be disposed along a neck of the cutlery to enhance stability further.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DISPOSABLE STRAWS AND CUP LIDS
The present invention provides a method for the manufacture of disposable straws (preferably having an average length between 10 cm and 30 cm) and cup lids from fibrous materials preferably including paper, cardboard, plant fibers, animal fibers, artificial fibers, fabrics made from one or more thereof; or non-woven materials made from one or more thereof. These manufacturing steps generally and preferably include: (1) feeding a strip of fibrous material into a tank of adhesive or glue for treating fibrous material with a solution of cellulose ester in a solvent; (2) feeding the treated fibrous material into a press or spiral winding unit; (3) drying, cutting, and forming the fibrous material into disposable straws or cup lids; (4) testing the formed disposable straws or cup lids for quality control; and (5) packaging the disposable straws or cup lids.
Drink Holder
A weighted bead filled drink holder with flexible sheet material is described sides that cradles a beverage receptacle inserted into it and lowers the effective center of gravity of the combination and provides a wide footprint to make the combination extremely stable on a variety of surfaces including surfaces on which cups and glasses, especially stemware are unstable.
PAPER DRINKING STRAW FOR A BEVERAGE CONTAINER AND BEVERAGE CONTAINER
The invention refers to a paper drinking straw (1) for a beverage container (81,83) with a penetration opening (80,84) for inserting the paper drinking straw, wherein the paper drinking straw comprises a paper tube (2) with a bevelled tip (7) at a first end (3), wherein paper of paper tube is more compressed at the first end compared to other portions of the paper tube.
Container With Zipper Members Tapered At A Spout
A container comprising: a base and freestanding sides extending from the base to define a mouth opposite the base, wherein the mouth has first and second spouts opposite each other and first and second interior sides opposite each other between the first and second spouts; a first zipper member extending from the first interior side of the mouth from the first spout to the second spout; a second zipper member extending from the second interior side of the mouth from the first spout to the second spout, wherein the mouth is deformable between open and closed configurations and the first and second zipper members are disengagable when the mouth is open and engagable when the mouth is closed, wherein the base, sides, and zipper members are a unitary whole container without assembled parts, wherein the container comprises silicone.
