Green ceramic tapes and method for their fabrication
“Green”, ceramic tapes intended as building blocks for making complex, fully ceramic components and devices for electronic-, lab-on-chip-, and sensing applications, the manufacture of which comprises in sequence: I. mixing of a ceramic “green” paste, II. homogenisation of a ceramic “green” paste, III. dimensioning and optionally structuring the ceramic “green” paste, IV. drying of the dimensioned and structured ceramic paste, in which: step iii) is performed in a combination of an extruder and a calender, the extruder being provided with a circular extrusion die, splitting and unfolding the extruded tube to a flat, continuous tape strip, using methylcellulose or derivatives thereof as binder, and, an additional step chosen among cutting and punching the thus dimensioned and optionally structured “green” paste, thereby making thick, “green” tapes. A method for its manufacture is also contemplated.
Medical use honeycomb structure
A medical use honeycomb structure having a plurality of through-holes extending in one direction, wherein an outer peripheral section of the medical use honeycomb structure has a through-hole groove formed by incomplete side walls of the through-hole, and a through-hole inlet adjacent to the through-hole groove.

NOx ADSORBER CATALYST
A NO.sub.x adsorber catalyst and its use in an emission treatment system for internal combustion engines, is disclosed. The NO.sub.x adsorber catalyst composition comprises a support material, one or more platinum group metals disposed on the support material, and a NO.sub.x storage material.
Carpet fiber polymeric blend
The invention provides carpet fibers prepared from a blend of polymeric components, said fiber exhibiting improved properties, such as improved spinnability and improved fire resistance. The carpet fibers particularly comprise a majority of polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) and a minority of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The invention further provides yarns and carpets prepared from the inventive fibers, said yarns and carpets likewise exhibiting improved properties. The invention also provides methods of improving various physical properties (such as fire resistance, spinnability, and elongation) of a polymeric composition.
CEMENTITIOUS MIXTURE FOR A 3D PRINTER, WITH IMPROVED PERFORMANCE, AND RELATIVE USE IN SAID PRINTER
A cementitious mixture for a 3D printer, with improved performance, is described, and its relative use, more specifically for the production of finished products having a complex geometry using a 3D printing apparatus.
HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
The honeycomb structure includes a pillar-shaped honeycomb structure body, and a circumferential coating layer disposed to surround a circumference of the honeycomb structure body, and cells which are formed at an outermost circumference of the honeycomb structure body and in which peripheries of the cells are defined by the partition walls without any lacks are defined as outermost circumference complete cells, and in a cross section of the honeycomb structure body which is perpendicular to an extending direction of the cells a minimum distance T (mm) among distances from the outermost circumference complete cells to the surface of the circumferential coating layer and a porosity P (%) of the circumferential coating layer satisfy relations of Equation (1) and Equation (2) as follows:
1.5≧T≧16×(100−P).sup.−1.4; and Equation (1):
20≦P≦75. Equation (2):

APPARATUS FOR EXTRUDING CERAMIC SLURRY
An extruder includes a receptacle for containing material to be extruded. The extruder further includes a dispersion blade positioned within the receptacle and a nozzle secured to the receptacle. The nozzle defines a first opening positioned within an interior of the receptacle, defines a second opening positioned outside of the receptacle and defines a channel which extends from the first opening through the nozzle to the second opening defining a flow path which extends from the first opening, through the channel and to the second opening. The nozzle extends through a wall of the receptacle and into the interior of the receptacle such that the first opening is positioned spaced apart from the wall.
