Block reinforcement cage having stem reinforcement portions with open apertures formed therein, for use in reinforcing a molded concrete U-wall construction block
A block reinforcement cage made from reinforcing material and adapted for loading within a machine during a block manufacturing process for molding a concrete U-wall construction block structure. The block cage includes an open aperture formed in each of its stem reinforcing portions. During the block manufacturing process, the first and second support members of a support mechanism are inserted within the open apertures formed in the stem reinforcing sections of the block cage, and cooperate with the open apertures of the block cage so as to (i) support the block cage when being loaded into a block manufacturing machine, (ii) define central apertures molded in each stem portion of the concrete U-wall construction block structure, and (iii) lift the molded concrete U-wall construction block when being unloaded from the machine.
SYSTEM FOR TREATING A REFRACTORY BATCH, USE OF SUCH A SYSTEM, METHOD FOR TREATING A REFRACTORY BATCH, AND USE OF A MOULD
The invention relates to a system for treating a refractory batch, a use of the system, a method for treating a refractory batch, and a use of a mould.
CELL FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A cell for a stormwater management system includes a body portion, an internal region, and at least one of a top portion or a bottom portion. The body portion includes a plurality of corner columns spaced from each other, a first horizontal member, and a second horizontal member. At least one of the first and second horizontal members is adjacent the at least one of the top portion or the bottom portion and opposite the other horizontal member. The first horizontal member extends between at least two corner columns and has at least a portion curved inward towards the internal region. The second horizontal member extends between at least two corner columns and has at least a portion curved inward towards the internal region. The first and second horizontal members are integrally formed with the body portion.
METHOD FOR INJECTING CERAMIC POWDERS WITH FILTER CREATED IN SITU IN THE FIBROUS PREFORM
A method for injecting ceramic particles into a fibrous texture includes placing a fibrous texture in a mould, injecting from one side a first suspension including a powder of large filtration particles to form a filtration layer, injecting from the opposite side a second suspension into the fibrous texture, the second suspension including a powder of small refractory ceramic particles, then draining through the filtration layer the liquid phase of the second suspension having passed through the fibrous texture and retaining the refractory ceramic particle powder inside the fibrous texture by the filtration layer of so as to obtain a fibrous preform including at least the fibrous texture filled with refractory ceramic particles and the filtration layer.
Artificial reef and process for forming such an artificial reef
A process for forming an artificial reef includes forming a form having a geometric shape, applying at least one blockout onto a surface of the form such that the blockout extends outwardly of the surface of the form, applying a sprayable concrete over the form and over a portion of the blockout, curing the sprayable concrete on the form for a period of time so that the sprayable concrete adheres to the blockout, and removing the cured sprayable concrete and the adhered blockout together from the surface of the form. The sprayable concrete is applied over the form until the depth of the sprayable concrete is approximately equal to a depth of the blockout. The blockout is a cinder block.
CHEMICAL VAPOR INFILTRATION TOOLING FOR OPTIMIZING INFILTRATION IN CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITES
A tooling fixture suitable for use in infiltrating a fibrous preform with a flow of reactant gas includes an outer surface and an inner surface defining a thickness therebetween, and a plurality of holes extending through the thickness of the tooling fixture. The plurality of holes includes a first hole having cylindrical geometry with a first pair of dimensions comprising a first length and a first diameter, a second hole having cylindrical geometry with a second pair of dimensions comprising a second length and a second diameter, and a third hole having cylindrical geometry with a third pair of dimensions comprising a third length and a third diameter. At least one dimension of the first pair of dimensions is different from at least one dimension of the second pair of dimensions, and at least one dimension of the second pair of dimensions is different from at least one dimension of the third pair of dimensions.
Systems, devices, and methods for molding structures
Systems, methods, and articles of manufacture provide for a mold system for molding structures (e.g., sand castles) from one or more various types of molding substances (e.g., sand, clay, snow). In one embodiment, a mold system comprises a split mold comprising at least two mold sections. In one embodiment, a modular mold system allows for different types of mold sections with corresponding joining elements to be joined together to create forms for molding various types of structures. In some embodiments, mold sections are configured to facilitate the breaking of a vacuum created when molding substances are packed into the mold system, thus making it easier to separate a mold from the formed structure.
Molded concrete U-wall construction block employing a metal reinforcement cage having stem reinforcement portions with open apertures formed therein for multiple purposes
A molded concrete U-wall construction block including a molded concrete U-wall construction block structure formed from cured concrete poured about a block cage made from reinforcing material during a block manufacturing process.
