BLOCKS, BLOCK SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MAKING BLOCKS
A block, block system and method of making a wall block. Multiple block embodiments with multiple embodiments of a visually exposed surface having three dimensional shaped areas and three dimensional angular valleys or joints that can be used to construct a patio, wall, fence or the like; the multiple embodiments creating a more random and natural appearance.
Tooling Assembly Having Cam Closing Feature
Tooling assemblies and methods for using a tooling assembly to shape an article are provided. For example, a tooling assembly has a forward end and an aft end and comprises a first tool segment, a second tool segment, a forward cam portion near the forward end, and an aft cam portion near the aft end. The forward cam portion defines a follower surface, and at least a portion of the follower surface has a curvilinear profile. The aft cam portion defines a first surface extending at a first angle and a second surface extending at a second angle. The first and second tool segments define a cavity for shaping an article. An exemplary method comprises positioning an article preform within the cavity and inserting a fastener within the aft end of the tooling assembly until the fastener is fully inserted within the tooling assembly.
MANUFACTURED RETAINING WALL BLOCK WITH IMPROVED FALSE JOINT
A retaining wall block having a false joint and a system of retaining wall blocks. The retaining wall block includes a body having a first textured surface and a second textured surface and a false joint dividing the first and second textured surface. The false joint can have a depth divided by the width greater than two inches. The false joint can have an interior angle of less than ten degrees. The system includes a plurality of retaining wall blocks and a first course of retaining wall blocks engaged with a second course of retaining wall blocks below. Each block in the system comprising a front face having a first textured surface and a second textured surface and a false joint dividing the first and second textured surface. The false joint can extend a predetermined depth of a third surface.
Lithium stuffed garnet setter plates for solid electrolyte fabrication
Setter plates are fabricated from Li-stuffed garnet materials having the same, or substantially similar, compositions as a garnet Li-stuffed solid electrolyte. The Li-stuffed garnet setter plates, set forth herein, reduce the evaporation of Li during a sintering treatment step and/or reduce the loss of Li caused by diffusion out of the sintering electrolyte. Li-stuffed garnet setter plates, set forth herein, maintain compositional control over the solid electrolyte during sintering when, upon heating, lithium is prone to diffuse out of the solid electrolyte.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF TURBINE BLADE MEMBER
A method includes a slurry preparing process of preparing a ceramic powder slurry, an impregnating process of impregnating the slurry into an inorganic fiber sheet to form an impregnated sheet, a sheet winding process of winding an impregnated sheet around a core to form a sheet-wound core, a pressing process of disposing the impregnated sheet between a first mold and a second mold opposed to each other and interposing a spacer therebetween at a portion where the impregnated sheet is not positioned, and then clamping the first mold and the second mold with a first fastener to come close in a direction facing each other, thereby applying pressure to the impregnated sheet, a drying process of heating and drying the impregnated sheet, and a firing process of firing the sheet after drying.
Spacer mould and method for producing hip spacers
A spacer mold and method for producing a hip spacer, the spacer mold comprises a base element (1), in which a hollow mold is provided as negative image of one side of a femoral stem of the spacer to be generated, whereby a recess connected to the hollow mold is arranged on the proximal end of the hollow mold in the base element. The spacer mold further comprises a semi-spherical insert (2) comprising a femoral head mold as negative image of one side of a femoral head of the spacer to be generated, whereby the semi-spherical insert (2) is to be arranged in the recess in the base element (1). Further, the spacer mold comprises an adapter insert (3) that is designed as a hollow body that is open on two sides and that is or can be arranged in the recess of the base element (1) between the semi-spherical insert (2) and the hollow mold such that the recess exerts a pressure onto the adapter insert (3) and the semi-spherical insert (2). Moreover, the spacer mold comprises a punch (4) that comprises a punch hollow mold in the form of the negative image of the remaining femoral stem and that is arranged on or can be pressed onto the top side of the base element (1).
METHOD AND MOLD FOR RETAINING WALL CORNER AND COLUMN BLOCKS
A method and mold assembly for forming a dry cast concrete corner blocks having non-parallel front and rear faces and non-parallel end faces, with a hollow central core in the blocks. The corner blocks can be used to build a square or irregular corner in a retaining wall, and can be used to build columns or pillars in the wall, without having to cut the corner blocks. Fill material may be poured into aligned cores in the stacked corner blocks which form the wall corner or column, to stabilize the corner blocks.
METHODS OF FABRICATION OF GRAPHITE POWDER MOLDS
The disclosure relates to methods of fabricating of a graphite powder mold, including: applying a base layer to an exposed surface of a mold having one or more features; depositing a graphite powder onto the base layer to fill the one or more features; applying a cover layer onto an exposed surface of the graphite powder, wherein the cover layer and the base layer join at intersecting surfaces encasing the graphite powder to form the graphite powder mold having one or more raised features
BLOCKS AND MOLDS FOR BUILDING LANDSCAPE WALLS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE BLOCKS
The present disclosure generally pertains to blocks for building landscape walls and similar structures, the molds used to make the blocks, and the methods for making the blocks. Such block can be securely coupled to another block. A block can be vertically coupled to another block by coupling the dorsal face of one block to the ventral face of another block. The block can be horizontally coupled by coupling the male side of one block to the female side of another block. A secure, exemplary landscape wall may be created by coupling the blocks both horizontally and vertically to reach a desired height, width, and shape.
