TILE EDGE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Disclosed herein are tiles, systems, and methods related to manufacturing bullnose or other non-straight edge tiles. In a method of manufacturing a bullnose tile, the method comprises the steps of providing a tile, wherein said tile is a fired ceramic tile comprising a base and a decoration; cutting or milling the tile to form a bullnose edge; transporting the tile to at least a first printing station; printing at least one print layer of print media on the bullnose edge; transporting the tile to a curing station and curing the print media to provide the bullnose tile.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND PRINTER FOR DIGITAL PRINTING IN QUANTITY
A method for digital printing in quantity, including the steps of providing a conveying unit adapted to convey printing substrates, setting a running velocity, providing a digital printer, providing a graphics file as input to the digital printer representing a motif to be reproduced on the printing substrates at a predefined resolution, calculating a decoration frequency for printing with decorative inks as a function of the predefined resolution and of the running velocity, calculating single material printing frequencies for each one of the material inks, calculating a synchronized printing frequency, calculating a scaling factor, calculating an actual printing frequency as a function of the scaling factors, calculating an actual printing resolution as a function of the actual frequency of material to be deposited and of the running velocity, and printing on the printing substrates at the actual printing resolution.
Knife with removable scales and bottle opener
A knife includes a knife body having two liners and a blade positioned between the two liners. The knife further includes two scales, each scale being removably coupled to one of the two liners. Each scale is configured for use as a tool separate from the knife body when removed from the knife body. A bottle opener may be formed in the knife body.
Simulated Rock Panels
The appearance of natural rock faces are formed on planar panels or part portions disposed horizontally by stamping or texturizing a cementatious mixture of veneer material and then selectively applying colorant matter, which may include combinations of stains and mineral.
Decoration line for ceramic products and process for decorating on ceramic products
A decoration line including a conveyor of the products on which to apply the enamel, at least a first enamelling machine of the spray type actuated by piezoelectric-driven nozzles suitable for applying, on the products transiting on the conveyor, at least one first substantially full layer of enamel of the vitreous type in suspension in liquid suspending agent suitable for being processed in a digital decorative system for creating base or a covering layer on the products and at least a second enamelling machine, positioned downstream of said first machine, of the spray type actuated by piezoelectric-driven nozzles suitable for applying, on the products transiting on the conveyor, at least a second substantially discontinuous layer of enamel of the vitreous or pigmented type in suspension in liquid suspending agent suitable for being processed in a digital decorative system for creating decoration or finishing effects on the products.
Tile edge systems and methods
Disclosed herein are tiles, systems, and methods related to manufacturing bullnose or other non-straight edge tiles. The tiles can comprise a non-straight edge with one or more printed layers. The printed layers can comprise radiation curable inks or other fast-drying coatings. Upon exposure to a curing station, the layers cure quickly. This provides a printed and cured surface that very closely matches the rest of the tile. The tiles, systems, and methods disclosed herein can be of higher quality and can involve more efficient manufacturing than existing tiles, systems, and methods.
DIGITAL DECORATING MACHINE FOR CERAMIC PRODUCTS
A Digital decorating machine for ceramic products, including a conveyor, suitable to transport the products to be decorated (P) along a feed direction (A), and a plurality of decoration modules, positioned over the conveyor and adjacent to each other along the feed direction (A). The modules include respective printing heads provided with nozzles for ejecting a fluid to be delivered on the surface of the products to be decorated (P); the conveyor includes a movable member for supporting the products to be decorated (P), suitable for translating them along the feed direction (A). The conveyor includes at least a supporting surface, located along a respective flank of the movable member, including in turn a plurality of predetermined positioning zones for the removable engagement of respective coupling portions of the decoration modules.
DECORATION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THE DECORATION OF A BASE CERAMIC ARTICLE
Method and system for decorating a base ceramic article (CB) having a surface to be decorated. The decoration system comprises: a first printing assembly for applying a first layer of adhesive material on at least part of the surface; a digital depositing assembly for depositing a second layer comprising granular material or enamel atomized particles on the first layer to form an at least partially relief pattern on the surface; a detection assembly of such at least partially relief pattern; a second printing assembly, operable based on the data detected by the detection assembly, to form a defined image on the at least partially relief pattern; a dryer configured to dry the base ceramic article (CB) and arranged between the digital depositing assembly and the second printing assembly; and a firing kiln.
Multi-Colored Ceramic Housings for an Electronic Device
A method of manufacturing a housing of an electronic device includes applying a mask to a portion of a ceramic green body to define a masked portion and an unmasked portion, applying a pigment to the ceramic green body to color the unmasked portion, and sintering the ceramic green body to remove the mask and form a ceramic housing. The ceramic housing may comprise a first portion corresponding to the masked portion and having a first color, and a second portion corresponding to the unmasked portion and having a second color different from the first color.
Inkjet ink for ceramic tile decoration
Embodiments of the invention combine pigmented and soluble salt digital ink technologies by dispersing water-soluble metal salts as particles in a non-aqueous inkjet ink fluid. The metal salts are dispersed as pigment-like particles, and not as a dissolved solute.
