METHODS FOR PRODUCING CERAMIC SUBSTRATES AND MODULE COMPONENTS
In a method for manufacturing ceramic substrates and module components, an unfired mother ceramic substrate is cut at predetermined positions for division into separate unfired ceramic substrates. The cut unfired mother ceramic substrate is pressed such that pressure is applied parallel or substantially parallel to its main surfaces so that the cross-sectional end surfaces created in the cutting step are joined. The unfired mother ceramic substrate including end surface junctions, resulting from joining of the cross-sectional end surfaces, is fired. The fired mother ceramic substrate is broken along the end surface junctions to divide it into separate ceramic substrates.

Apparatus and method for manufacturing rubber sheet
In one embodiment of an apparatus for manufacturing a rubber sheet, a continuous rubber material is supplied onto a supply conveyor in a meandering state by supplying the continuous rubber material onto the supply conveyor while moving rubber supply device in a reciprocating manner in a roll axial direction. The rubber supply device has a full width moving mode in which the rubber supply device moves in the roll axial direction such that the continuous rubber material has a meandering shape of a width corresponding to a width of a rubber sheet, and a partial width moving mode in which the rubber supply device moves in the roll axial direction such that the continuous rubber material has a meandering shape of a width obtained by excluding widths of both edge portions of the rubber sheet from the width of the rubber sheet.
PLASTER BOARDS HAVING INTERNAL LAYERS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THEM
Disclosed herein are plaster boards that include first and second layers of hardened plaster material, a liner attached to the first layer of hardened plaster material, and a first material (e.g., a polymer material such as a viscoelastic polymer) adhered between the liner and the second layer of hardened plaster material. The liner includes one or more structurally weakened regions each extending substantially from a first edge to a second opposing edge of the plaster board. The structurally weakened regions of the liner may facilitate creation of a fissure that propagates substantially within a plane within the plaster board. Methods for making the plaster boards may involve drying wet plaster material while it is in contact with a liner having structurally weakened regions, processing a liner to form its structurally weakened regions while in contact with wet plaster material, or processing a liner to form its structurally weakened regions while in contact with hardened plaster material.

Method for producing stone inlay tesserae
Provided is a method for producing stone inlay tesserae for forming a mosaic pattern surface, the method comprises the steps of: providing at least one core made from a natural stone material; providing a mold having an internal surface that defines an internal cavity for accommodating the at least one core, the internal cavity has a volume larger than that of the at least one core, such that an internal space is formed between the internal surface of the mold and the at least one core when the at least one core is placed within the mold; adding a molding composite into the mold to fill the internal space; solidifying the molding composite, thereby forming a hybrid tessera column comprising a stone inlay and an external layer seamlessly around the at least one core; demolding the hybrid tessera column from the mold; and cutting the hybrid tessera column into a plurality of stone inlay tesserae.
GYPSUM COMPOSITION COMPRISING UNCOOKED STARCH HAVING MID-RANGE VISCOSITY, AND METHODS AND PRODUCTS RELATED THERETO
Disclosed are product (e.g., panels), slurry, and methods relating to an uncooked starch having a mid-range peak viscosity (i.e., from about 120 Brabender Units to about 900 Brabender Units).

CUTTING DEVICE, APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING GYPSUM BOARD, AND CUTTING METHOD
There is provided a cutting apparatus with which, even if a plate body to be cut is warped, it is easy to obtain a cut product of the same quality as when a plate body which is not warped is cut. The cutting apparatus is provided on a conveyor for conveying a plate body and cuts the plate body being conveyed by the conveyor. The cutting apparatus includes a cutting blade that cuts the plate body in a direction parallel to a direction of conveying the plate body, and a pressing unit including, at a side position of the cutting blade, a pressing plate provided to be movable between a pressing position where the pressing plate presses the plate body and a retracted position where the pressing plate is retracted from the pressing position. The cutting apparatus cuts the plate body with the cutting blade while pressing the plate body with the pressing plate.
