Retrofittable system and apparatus for hanging articles on pre-installed supports
Systems and apparatuses for hanging articles while avoiding removal and/or damage to pre-installed supports and even surfaces are provided. In an embodiment, a device comprises a body configured to mechanically rest on or grip a portion of the pre-installed support, or even to be forcibly strapped to the pre-installed support. Additionally, a linking member, such as a clip, groove, channel, or hook, may be disposed along the body to join an article to the support. In practice, a plurality of devices may be applied to a variety of different types of head rails and other supports to join, for example, curtains to the head rail or other support, whether by forcibly gripping such curtains or supportively receiving a rod fitted with curtains.
Sign suspender for mounting in channel for ladderless display
A ceiling clip for mounting a sign or display includes a spool portion on which is wound a cord that is selectively unwound to a desired length and attached in a line clip for suspending the sign or display from the cord. The ceiling clip includes first and second flanges wherein the second flange is shaped to fit into a channel. The second flange is tapered for insertion into the channel and is of a width to frictionally engage the channel. Multiple ceiling clips may be inserted into the channel. The channel has magnets, hooks, interlocking cleats, or other mounting means that engage a mounting location to mount the channel, ceiling clips, and the sign or display at the mounting location with a single mounting motion. The channel may be mounted or unmounted using a gripper on a pole.
Loft block with aligned sheaves
A lift system configured to lift an article (e.g., a batten). The lift system includes a first cable configured to be coupled to the article, a second cable configured to be coupled to the article, a drive mechanism coupled to the first cable and the second cable and operable to raise and lower the article, a first loft block including a first loft sheave to redirect the first cable from a first substantially horizontal axis to a first substantially vertical axis, and a guide member to direct the second cable along a second substantially horizontal axis. The lift system further includes a second loft block including a second loft sheave to redirect the second cable from the second substantially horizontal axis block to a second substantially vertical axis.
Curtain rod and window blind holder
The curtain rod and window blind holder is configured for use with a curtain rod. The curtain rod and window blind holder is further configured for use with the headrail of blinds that are installed in a window frame. The curtain rod and window blind holder is installed in a window frame by attaching directly to the headrail of the blinds. This attachment eliminated the need to damage a drywall surface or a window frame in order to install curtains in a window frame. The curtain rod and window blind holder comprises a master clip, a first rod hook, and a second rod hook. The master clip attaches to the headrail. The first rod hook and the second rod hook are attached to the master clip.
System and apparatus for hanging heavy objects
Systems, methods, architectures, mechanisms or apparatus adapted to suspend or otherwise hang heavy objects such as chandeliers such as from a ceiling via a junction box suspended therein from a crossbar secured to one or more adjoining beams or joists via respective bracket housings configured to adjust an inclination of the crossbar secured therein.
Hanging systems
Portable, compact hanging systems that enable a person to hang items from a wide variety of different objects and surfaces in order to free their hands for other activities are described. The hanging systems include hook and gated-loops systems composed of a hook connected to a gated loop by way of a rotatable hinge that provides multiple degrees of freedom. Hanging systems also include double hook systems that are connected by flexible joints for convenient storage and expansion into unfolded configurations when in use.
Retaining device
A ring serves as a retaining device for objects. A gate on the ring opens to receive objects that move on one specified axis of direction for entry and retainment. A gate on the ring opens to dispense a retained object that is moving on a separate specified axis from that on which it entered. Depending on embodiment, entry and exit are provided through a single dual axis gate or by two respective gates. Biasing mechanisms urge the gate(s) closed whereupon moving force of contact from an object to enter or exit overpowers the respective bias. Absent overriding directional force, the ring remains closed, retaining an object within. A provision to mount the ring to an anchor which exceeds by inertia the gate biases is included.
Display system
In an example embodiment, a system of lifting, lowering and rotating a display may include a housing, a rotator, and a hoist. The rotator may be configured to selectively rotate the housing such that a display functionally coupled to the housing is rotated. The rotator may include an anchor and a rotating portion. The anchor may be configured to be attached to an elevated surface. The rotating portion may be configured to be functionally coupled to the housing, and configured to rotate relative to the anchor. The hoist may include a member and a hoist motor. The hoist motor may be configured to selectively rotate the member such that a cable functionally coupled to the member is wound about the member when the member is rotated in a first direction, and the cable is unwound from the member when the member is rotated in a second direction.
Hang-it-all curtain system
An improved, simpler, and more cost effective method for hanging multiple layers of curtaining with reduced damage to the casement of a window or of the walls around a window. An e-shaped hook (1) wraps around an existing bracket (3) utilized to hang a primary curtain rod. The hook (1) then extends down from the bracket (3) ending in a lateral prong at a right angle to the bracket (3) and perpendicular to the original curtain rod, pointing toward the center of the window. This prong is then inserted into the aperture of a telescoping rod with an internal spring adjustment referred to as a spring tension rod (2). The spring tension rod (2), due to its internal spring, allows for the rod to be inserted onto the hook (1) and be released from the hook (1) without the removal of the hook (1) from the bracket (3).
Security wall rack and television mount combination
A security wall rack and television mount combination is described to deter or prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to the back of a television or the wall mount that supports the television and to deter or prevent theft of a television. The wall mount includes security covers that are rotatably attached to the frame that cover the location where screws will secure the frame to a wall or other surface. The mount is rotatably attached to the frame and provides for the system to be locked in place in a nested way.
