Machine for molding composite matter and a method of producing ceramics-based composite

The proposed solution solves a problem of designing a machine for producing molded composite parts that are homogeneously structured and the problem of finding a method for producing composite for implants. The essence of the design of the machine consists in that it has a portioning assembly, whereby above a mold form unit (14) there is a guiding unit (11) located opposite a dosing unit (6) and above the aforementioned guiding unit (11) there is a pressing assembly (20) slidingly mounted on a vertical frame (19) and which is equipped with at least one piston rod (25) with a rammer (27) at its end. A preliminary molding is being performed by thoroughly filling a preform trough and then the matter is being pushed out of the preform trough in portions and then each portion is rammed separately until consistency containing less than 15% air is achieved.

Mounting adapter for concrete surface processing tools

A mounting adapter for rotatably mounting a tool holding body having first and second surfaces on at least one spider arm of a motor driven rotatable spider assembly of a surface processing apparatus. The mounting adapter includes a disc with a flex pad dimensioned to rest on a portion of the disc upper surface between a disc aperture and a disc rib. A drive ring has an inner periphery which mechanically engages an outer periphery of the disc.

CONCRETE PRODUCT MACHINE APRON PLATE GAP ADJUSTMENT

Concrete product machine apron gap adjustment by actuating a gapper mechanism to set a desired gap between a reciprocally-movable apron plate and an interchangeably installable mold assembly installed in a concrete products machine. The gapper mechanism sets a desired gap between the machine apron plate and the mold assembly by injecting an index amount of hydraulic fluid into fluid communication with the rod side of a primary apron plate positioning cylinder, causing the machine's apron plate to retreat a desired gap distance away from an engaged position against the mold assembly.

APPARATUS FOR EXTRUDING HONEYCOMB BODIES, METHODS OF ASSEMBLING APPARATUS, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING HONEYCOMB BODIES

An extrusion apparatus (200) and method to extrude ceramic precursor batch through a die to form a honeycomb extrudate (100), and an apparatus assembly method, are provided. The apparatus comprises a tail ring device (202) comprising a tapered inner opening configured to funnel the batch downstream from upstream extrusion hardware, wherein an inner surface (318,320) of the tail ring device (202) comprises no pockets or protrusions to disrupt batch flow; a bow control device (204) disposed on the tail ring device (202) comprising an aperture (414) defined by shutter plates (S1-S4) to control a bow of the honeycomb body extrudate (100) formed from the batch flowing through the die by adjustment of the shutters (S1-S4); and an edge flow control device (206) disposed on the bow control device (204) comprising edge plates (816) configured to protrude into the batch to control an edge flow of the batch flowing to a periphery of the die.

A method for exchanging molds in a concrete products forming machine (CPM) comprises moving a first mold cassette assembly along a linear path to a mold receiving position adjacent to a concrete products forming machine. The first mold is then moved out of the CPM along a mold-transfer path perpendicular to the linear path of the first mold cassette assembly. The first mold is then mounted within the first mold cassette assembly which then moves along the linear path out of the mold-receiving position. The second mold cassette assembly, and pre-mounted second mold, are then moved along the linear path to the mold-extracting position. The second mold is then demounted from the second mold cassette assembly and moved along the mold-transfer path to the concrete products forming machine to effect a mold change within the CPM.
