An example plasterboard includes a layer of hardened plaster having a first surface and an opposed second surface, a layer of polymer material having particles of one or more cementitiously-active substances mixed therein, and a liner between the first surface of the layer of hardened plaster and the layer of polymer material. Another example is a method of forming such a plasterboard. The method includes loading an extruder with the polymer material having the particles of one or more cementitiously active substances mixed therein, extruding the polymer material through a die to form the layer of polymer material on a surface of the liner, contacting with a layer of wet plaster material, the liner having the polymer material applied thereon such that the surface of the liner faces away from the wet plaster material, and drying the layer of wet plaster material to form the layer of hardened plaster.

SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING CEMENTITIOUS PRODUCT WITH SECONDARY DISCHARGE CONDUIT HAVING ADDITIVE INJECTION SYSTEM

An additive injection system can be a part of a cementitious slurry mixing and dispensing assembly. The additive injection system can be used to inject an additive into an auxiliary slurry discharge conduit carrying a secondary flow of cementitious slurry produced in the assembly such that the secondary slurry stream is different from a main slurry stream discharged from a main slurry discharge conduit.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CEMENTITIOUS BOARDS WITH ON-LINE SLURRY SET MEASUREMENT
20170363524 · 2017-12-21 ·

Embodiments of a system and a method for measuring cementitious board during its continuous manufacture can be used online in a continuous manufacturing process to effectively determine the degree to which cementitious slurry has set (e.g., expressed as percent hydration) at a predetermined location, such as, near a cutting station, for example. A compression assembly can be used to compressively engage the cementitious board in a controlled manner as it passes by the compression member along the conveyor between the forming station and the cutting station. A force gauge can be associated with the compression member to measure the resistance force exerted by the cementitious board in response to being compressed by the compression member. The resistance force can be correlated to a set characteristic of the cementitious board, such as a numerical value of percent hydration of the cementitious slurry of that particular portion of the cementitious board.

Slurry Distribution System with Vibration Isolation
20170361493 · 2017-12-21 ·

A cementitious slurry mixing and dispensing system includes a slurry mixer that agitates and forms aqueous cementitious slurry, a discharge conduit in communication with the mixer and forming an interior surface defining a slurry flow path to convey the slurry therethrough to an outlet, a distribution mat disposed proximally to the outlet, a vibrating plate supporting the distribution mat, an overhead bracing system from which the vibrating plate is suspended, and a plurality of support members coupled between the overhead bracing system and the vibrating plate. The vibrating plate is adapted to impart vibrational forces on the distribution mat to promote movement of the aqueous slurry. Each support member includes a rod, a hollow coupling member, and at least one resilient bushing assembly adapted to dampen the vibrational forces exerted by the vibrating plate, thereby isolating the rod and the overhead bracing system from the vibrational forces.
