METHOD OF INSTALLING INTERFACE PAD ON CONCRETE TIES
An interface pad for a concrete tie includes a resilient contact pad to cushion the tie from any overlying parts in a railway application, such as panels in a grade crossing or rails in a turnout. The pad may be flat or a cupped shape and may be of varying size to accommodate varying tie widths. The invention further comprises means and methods to correctly secure such an interface pad to a concrete railroad tie and minimize the possibility that the interface pad will be forcibly removed from the tie during installation of the tie.
Method for producing a precast concrete segment of a wind turbine tower, and a precast concrete tower segment formwork
A method for producing a precast concrete tower segment of a wind turbine tower is provided. An inner formwork having at least one bore and at least one holding unit on an inner side of the inner formwork in the region of the bore is placed. A first end of a concrete anchor or a first end of a removable element at the first end of the concrete anchor is introduced from the outer side of the inner formwork through the bore into the holding unit in order to hold the concrete anchor. An outer formwork is placed. Concrete is introduced between the inner and outer formwork. The removable element in the first end or the first end of the concrete anchor is removed and the precast concrete segment is removed.

Recess former for concrete panels
A recess former is disclosed for use with anchors which are to be cast into a concrete slab. The recess former preferably includes a removable plug and preferably rectangular lugs which engage with corresponding apertures in the attachment head of the lifting anchor and prevent the ingress of cement during casting of the slab. In addition, flaps are preferably provided on the recess former to prevent the sides of the attachment head from being encased in the concrete. Preferably the former is pivoted between open and closed positions and has a slightly V-shaped base which when abutted against a mould or formwork, urges the recess former into the closed position. Furthermore, a recess former is disclosed which stays behind after the casting and remains embedded in the concrete in order to provide a waterproof membrane between the recess and adjacent reinforcing rods thereby preventing corrosion of the reinforcing rods.
ANCHOR POSITIONING FORM WITH DRAINAGE SYSTEM
A form is provided for positioning an anchor in a castable material, such as concrete, having a core element defining a volume for creating a recess in the castable material, an anchor having one end positioned inside the core element for engaging a security device, such as a cable or chain, and the anchor having another end extending outside the core element, for fixing the anchor in the castable material, and an elongated drain forming member extending from the bottom of the core element to the ground, for creating a passageway for transporting water that collects in the recess.
THERMAL BREAK FOR USE IN CONSTRUCTION
The present disclosure relates to an exterior wall for tilt-up construction comprising: (a) a fascia wythe; (b) a structural wythe; (c) a layer of insulating material disposed between the fascia wythe and the structural wythe; and (d) a thermal break in contact with at least the structural wythe, the thermal break comprising an elongate body comprising one or more thermal insulating materials, a first surface suitable for mounting a fixture, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first contacting surface, and a second contacting surface opposite the first contacting surface, the first contacting surface and the second contacting surface extending between the first surface and the second surface. The elongate body is substantially made of a non-wood material, and the structural wythe contacts at least a portion of the second contacting surface. The present disclosure further relates to methods of constructing an exterior wall comprising a thermal break.
Floating dock
A floating dock is provided. The floating dock has a buoyant core. The sidewalls of the buoyant core have grooves. A reinforcing truss is embedded in and extends through the grooves. The grooves may be filled with concrete.

A construction block or suchlike comprises at least one part made of conglomerate material, to which an insert made of filling material is constrained, to define a connection face for connection to another structural element. The connection face has visible a first surface of the insert and at least a connected second surface of the part made of conglomerate material. On the connection face other structural element(s) are combined, along a support plane (R, R1, R2) provided in correspondence with the connection face, to be stably connected by a layer of binder material. The second surface has a seating made longitudinally and lowered with respect to the support plane (R, R1, R2), on which seating the layer of binder material is located. The seating has a determinate depth (D), with respect to the support plane (R, R1, R2) correlated to the predefined thickness of the binder material to be laid.
