System, method, apparatus, means, and computer program product for recycling asphalt shingles
A method for producing an asphalt mix suitable for use as an asphalt pavement is provided. The method may include receiving in a preliminary mixing unit an asphalt shingle material input from a first feed system and a fluid asphalt material input from a second feed system, and heating and melting the asphalt shingle material and the fluid asphalt material in the preliminary mixing unit and then agitating the same to produce a molten asphalt. The method may include receiving in a primary mixing unit recycled asphalt material input from a third feed system and particulate material input from a fourth feed system, and mixing the molten asphalt from the preliminary mixing unit in the primary mixing unit with the same to produce an output of said asphalt mix. The method may include recirculating, in an intermediate tank, the molten asphalt.
SIMULTANEOUS CEMENT ENHANCEMENT AND CARBON DIOXIDE UTILIZATION BY MOUNTING A CARBON DIOXIDE CAPTURE SYSTEM ONBOARD A CONCRETE MIXER VEHICLE
A vehicle CO.sub.2 capture and utilization system includes a concrete mixer vehicle and a vehicle exhaust capture system. The concrete mixer vehicle comprises a vehicle exhaust and a mixer tank. The vehicle exhaust capture system is located onboard the concrete mixer vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle exhaust capture system includes one or more fluid pathways that fluidly couple the vehicle exhaust and the mixer tank.
A LOW-PRESSURE POWDER INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE, KIT AND METHOD
A low-pressure powder injection molding machine, a kit and a method thereof. The machine has a feedstock container adapted to contain (mixed feedstock, a mold and an injection device. The mold has an inlet and a cavity in which the feedstock material can set. The injection device has an injection port for supplying the mixed feedstock from the container to the mold by using pressure. The machine also has a moveable platform adapted to provide movement between the injection port of the injection device and the inlet of the mold in order to directly communicate the feedstock between the injection port and the inlet without using an intermediate conduit and thereby preventing any feedstock from setting or dissociating between the injection port and the inlet.
Methods and compositions for concrete production
The invention provides compositions and methods directed to carbonation of a cement mix during mixing. The carbonation may be controlled by one or more feedback mechanisms to adjust carbon dioxide delivery based on one or more characteristics of the mix or other aspects of the mixing operation.
Cooling system and method
In accordance with one embodiment, a method is provided that includes providing a liquid nitrogen storage system configured to cool a supply of liquid nitrogen to a temperature below the vapor point of liquid nitrogen; coupling a piping system with the liquid nitrogen storage system to convey a portion of the supply of liquid nitrogen from the liquid nitrogen storage system; coupling the piping system with a liquid nitrogen control valve configured to control a flow of liquid nitrogen to at least one liquid nitrogen dispensing head; disposing the at least one liquid nitrogen dispensing head above a conveyance device operable to convey an aggregate stream of a concrete batching plant during use; and disposing the at least one liquid nitrogen dispensing head in a position to dispense an output flow of liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate stream of the concrete batching plant during use.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PLACING AND CIRCULATING CONCRETE
A system and method for placing and circulating concrete is disclosed. The system includes a hopper body, a feed auger, one or more circulating elements, a pump, a valve with two or more outlets, a return conduit, and two or more hoses. The hopper body of the system may additionally include a heat exchanger. Concrete slurry is placed into the hopper body, continuously circulated within the hopper body, and drawn from the hopper body by the pump and conveyed through the hoses, or through the return conduit, or both. Concrete slurry within the hoses may be returned to the hopper body.
PRECARBONATION OF CEMENT MIXES
The invention provides methods and compositions for carbonation of a wet cement mix. The wet cement mix may be carbonated prior to addition of aggregates, admixture, SCM, and/or other components to produce a carbonated concrete mix. The methods and compositions may include high shear mixing of a cement or concrete mix, either during or before carbonation.
DEVICE FOR ON-DEMAND CONCRETE HYDRATION
A mixing apparatus having a processing area that exposes free falling dry materials to a high pressure hydration element and forms slurry with the a mixture of the dray materials and liquid.
Apparatus and method for manufacturing high performance concrete capable of manufacturing high performance concrete through processes of inserting air into normal concrete and dissipating air
Disclosed is an apparatus and method for manufacturing high-performance concrete by introducing air into normal concrete and dissipating air, wherein high-performance concrete is formed in a manner in which bubbles, which are to be removed, are added in a large amount together with an admixture to pre-blended normal concrete so that the admixture is uniformly dispersed in the normal concrete using the ball-bearing effect of the bubbles, thus forming mixed concrete, and the mixed concrete is discharged using air at a high pressure of 5 atom or more to thereby shoot high-performance concrete of which the slump, remarkably increased due to the large amount of bubbles, is reduced to fall within the range of slump of normal concrete while dissipating excess air from the mixed concrete.
