Airborne dust mitigation system

A system for use with a gunite rig to capture airborne gunite type materials, particularly those containing silica, during the preparation of the gunite. In one respect, as the bags of silica-containing material are placed in the mixing section of the gunite rig and ripped open, airborne gunite dust is captured by a hood and suction system positioned above the mixer. Further, the mitigation system includes a plenum box and suction system positioned adjacent the mouth of a gunite pot to capture gunite dust generated as the mixed gunite material falls from a hopper into the gunite pot.

Waste plastic can be converted into rock for decorative and utilitarian applications. A combination of sand and waste plastic is added into a tumbling chamber, and the tumbling chamber is rotated. The combination of sand and waste plastic is heated while rotating the tumbling chamber to form conglomerates. When a desired size of the conglomerates is achieved, the heating is stopped. Dry cement is then added to the tumbling chamber while continuing to rotate the tumbling chamber.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GAS ENTRAINMENT VIA NANO-BUBBLES INTO CONCRETE UPSTREAM FROM A PRODUCT MOLD
20200290935 · 2020-09-17 ·

A nanobubble-infused liquid is mixed into a dry concrete mix to form an infused wet concrete, where the nanobubble-infused liquid includes a concentration of nanobubbles of a gas at least double a natural concentration of nanobubbles of the gas within a natural state of the liquid. The nanobubble-infused liquid is preferably liquid water infused with a desired concentration of carbon-dioxide (CO.sub.2) nanobubbles sized within a certain prescribed range. The infused wet concrete is then transported to the mold of a concrete products forming machine to form a molded product that has enhanced qualities including increased carbon capture within the resulting concrete product, improved curing times, increased flowability, self-healing, and improved release from the product mold.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREPARING DRY PROCESS MATERIALS AND REDUCING RESPIRABLE DUST

A system for preparing a dry process material includes a sealed container that holds and seals the dry process material therein and prevents airborne dust or particles from the dry process material from escaping the sealed container. Sealed processing equipment receives the dry process material from the sealed container and prevents the airborne dust or particles from escaping the sealed processing equipment. A sealed connection sealingly couples the sealed container to the sealed processing equipment and prevents the airborne dust or particles from escaping while transferring the dry process material. A sealed transfer conduit is sealingly coupled to and extends from the sealed processing equipment.

Method and device for producing artificial broken sand or crushed sand by means of a thermal treatment using sand in the form of fine sand (fS/FSa) and/or round sand as the starting material

The invention relates to a method for producing artificial crushed sand by means of a thermal treatment using sand in the form of fine sand (FS/FSa) and/or round sand as the starting material (1). The starting material (1) in variant A is heated to a melting temperature by bundling sun rays (13), and/or the starting material in variant B is heated to a melting temperature by using a conventional melting device which achieves its energy supply using converted or stored solar power, whereby each of a plurality of sand grains are melted together into a three-dimensional intermediate product (2). The intermediate product (2) produced in this manner is cooled and finally comminuted to a particle size of less than 2 mm in a comminuting process. An end product (3) is produced which differs from the starting material (1) with respect to the shape and surface roughness. The method offers a long-term solution for meeting the demand for crushed sand and provides sand for the construction industry.

CONCRETE MANUFACTURING METHOD USING NITROGEN DISSOLVED WATER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURE
20200055786 · 2020-02-20 ·

Provided are a concrete manufacturing method capable of preventing neutralization of concrete and oxidation of a reinforcing rod in reinforced concrete, and a method for manufacturing a reinforced concrete structure using the same. The concrete manufacturing method uses nitrogen dissolved water and is characterized by including: a step of generating nitrogen dissolved water by injecting nitrogen gas into water to replace oxygen and carbon dioxide dissolved in the water with nitrogen; and a step of generating a ready-mixed concrete by kneading the nitrogen dissolved water, cement, an aggregate, and an admixture. The method for manufacturing a reinforced concrete structure is characterized by forming a reinforced concrete structure using a ready-mixed concrete manufactured by a concrete manufacturing method using nitrogen dissolved water.
