METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FLEXIBLE INSULATING ELEMENT WITH RECYCLED EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE FOAM
A method of recycling expanded polystyrene foam into flexible insulation elements that are made from 100% recycled material.
Post-consumer scrap film recycling system and process
A system and method for processing a supply of post-consumer scrap linear low density or low density polyethylene film into near-virgin quality blown film product. The method includes tearing the supply of film in a shredder, wherein the surface area of the film is exposed, including delaminating the film. The torn supply of film is washed in a water bath including a surfactant. The film is agitated in the bath containing the surfactant wherein contaminants on the film are removed from the film. The washed film is ground into smaller pieces and additional washing of the ground film in a rotating friction washer and a sink float tank occurs wherein additional contaminants are removed from the film. The ground film is then dried and compacted without addition of water into granulated objects of near-virgin quality blown film product.

Process for the production of a sulfone polymer agglomerate from the recovery of expanded sulfone polymer
A process for the production of a polymeric agglomerate obtained from expanded sulfone polymer recovered from extrusion or injection molding processes of sulfone polymer, the agglomeration of said expanded sulfone polymer being effected in said process. With respect to the known art for the production of expanded sulfone polymers that use starting virgin sulfone polymers, the present invention offers the advantage of providing a recovered expanded sulfone polymer which can be used as starting material together with the corresponding virgin sulfone polymer.
CELLULOSE-FIBER DISPERSION POLYETHYLENE RESIN COMPOSITE MATERIAL, FORMED BODY AND PELLET USING SAME, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND RECYCLING METHOD FOR CELLULOSE-FIBER ADHESION POLYETHYLENE THIN FILM PIECE
A cellulose-fiber dispersion polyethylene resin composite material, formed by dispersing a cellulose fiber into a polyethylene resin, wherein a proportion of the cellulose fiber is 1 part by mass or more and 70 parts by mass or less in a total content of 100 parts by mass of the polyethylene resin and the cellulose fiber, and wherein water absorption ratio satisfies the following formula; and a formed body and a pellet using the same, a production method therefor, and a recycling method for a cellulose-fiber adhesion polyethylene thin film piece.
(water absorption ratio)<(cellulose effective mass ratio).sup.2×0.01 [Formula].
POLYESTER FILM AND METHOD FOR REPRODUCING POLYESTER CONTAINER USING SAME
The embodiments relate to a. polyester film and a process for regenerating a polyester container using the same, which not only solve the environmental problems by improving the recyclability of polyester containers, but also are capable of enhancing the yield and productivity. The polyester film comprises a first layer comprising a first resin comprising a diol component and a dicarboxylic acid component; and a second layer laminated on one side of the first layer and comprising a second resin different from the first resin, wherein when the polyester film is cut with a polyethylene terephthalate container to form flakes and the flakes are thermally treated at a temperature of 200° C. to 220° C. for 60 minutes to 120 minutes, the clumping fraction is 8% or less.
Laminated Fabrics and Protective Covers With Post-Industrial and/or Post-Consumer Content and Methods of Making Laminated Fabrics and Protective Covers with Post-Industrial and/or Post Consumer Content
A method of recycling laminated fabrics and laminated fabric products and producing new laminated fabrics and laminated fabric products includes the steps of shredding scrap or used laminated fabric material, melt separating the polymers, pelletizing the melt separated polymers, extruding the pelletized material with at least one virgin material to form a film, and laminating the film to a nonwoven material to form a new laminated fabric. The scrap or recycled laminated fabric products can include plastic/polymer materials having different melting temperatures. The new laminated fabric can be utilized to produce new products, such as protective covers.
PRECONDITIONED RESIN AGGREGATE
Systems and methods are provided for making aggregate from comingled waste plastics. For example, there is provided a method of making a preconditioned absorptive resin aggregate, the method including: obtaining a supply of granulated mixed plastic waste treated with a preconditioning agent that comprises at least one of calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide; mixing the supply of granulated mixed plastic waste treated with the calcium oxide preconditioning agent with one or more additives to form a plastic waste mixture, the one or more additives comprising pozzolans; hot extruding the plastic waste mixture to form an extruded product comprising waste plastic material; cooling the extruded product; and processing the extruded product to form an aggregate. Products incorporating such aggregates, such as, for example, lightweight construction blocks, are also provided. Also provided are methods of forming a waste plastics feedstock.
Fibre reinforced composites
A reinforcing composite comprising a plurality of layers of reinforcing composite material forming a stack wherein at least one layer of the stack comprises a moulding compound (114) comprising consolidated resin impregnated fiber elements, wherein the resin impregnated fiber elements are obtained from off-cuts or scrap material (112) derived from cutting single layers of reinforcing composite material and/or stacks comprising multiple layers of reinforcing composite material (110).
Plant and method for the online recovery of trimmings in extrusion lines of film made of plastic material
A plant and method for the online recovery of trimmings generated in an extrusion line of a plastic film includes a cutting apparatus configured to cut side portions, also called trimmings, from the plastic film made leaving a forming apparatus of the plastic film; a conveying apparatus, positioned downstream of the cutting apparatus, that conveys the trimmings; an extruder for treatment of the trimmings; and an apparatus dosing and feeding granules for forming the plastic film made in the extruder, the extruder and the apparatus dosing and feeding the granules being positioned upstream of the forming device. An apparatus for pre-treatment of the trimmings is provided at the inlet of the extruder and includes a shredder positioned coaxially with respect to the extruder.
