Frame with an outer silicone layer and a manufacturing method of forming the silicone layer on the outer part of frame
A frame with an outer silicon layer and a manufacturing method of forming the silicone layer on the outer part of frame are disclosed. The manufacturing method includes a forming step, a combining step and a removing step. First, a pair of mold with a forming space is formed with a silicone carrier including an effective combination region and an ineffective region. An emplacing space is next formed in the effective combination region and a frame is put into the emplacing space. Before putting in the frame, either the outer part of frame or the emplacing space is coated with a silicone coating, and then the effective combination region is combined on the outer part of frame by a secondary sulfurization. Finally, the effective combination region is removed from the ineffective region to form a silicone layer, made of the effective combination region, on the outer part of frame.
Polymer composition and methods using said polymer composition to manufacture ophthalmic lens
The present invention proposes a polymer composition of manufacturing ophthalmic lens by polymerization of polymerizable composition wherein the shrinkage phenomenon is minimized. The polymerizable composition comprised two different categories of monomers which are able during crosslinking to control and limit said chemical shrinkage. The present invention comprises also ophthalmic lens obtained from said polymer composition using a manufacturing process of casting or additive manufacturing.
Uncured composite structures, cured composite structures, and methods of curing uncured composite structures
Uncured composite structures, cured composite structures, and methods of curing uncured composite structures are disclosed herein. The uncured composite structures include a structural layer that includes an uncured structural resin and a surface layer that includes an uncured surface resin. The cured composite structures include a cured structural layer that includes a cured structural resin, a cured surface layer that includes a cured surface resin, and an interface region between the cured surface layer and the cured structural layer. The methods include initially heating the uncured composite structure to an initial temperature to generate a partially cured composite structure. The initially heating is sufficient to gel the uncured surface resin but insufficient to gel the uncured structural resin. The methods also include subsequently heating the partially cured composite structure to a final cure temperature, which is greater than the initial temperature, to generate the cured composite structure.
Method for applying a polymeric film to a substrate and resulting articles
A polymeric film or laminate comprising the same is applied to at least a portion of a surface of an underlying article to provide, for example, desired surface characteristics. To assist in such application, a polymerizable composition is coated onto at least one of the surface of the polymeric film or the laminate and the surface of the article. The polymerizable composition is then polymerized with the polymeric film or laminate positioned thereover to form a sufficiently polymerized interlayer between the polymeric film or laminate and the underlying surface in resulting articles. Ease of removal and/or repair of polymeric film and laminates comprising the polymeric film that are so applied is facilitated.
Automated manufacturing method and system and in-mold coated plastic article produced thereby
An automated manufacturing method and system and in-mold coated plastic article produced thereby are provided. The system includes a compression mold and a plurality of program-controlled manipulators. An automatic sprayer supported on a first manipulator sprays at least a portion of a mold surface with an in-mold coating composition. An end effector supported on a second manipulator picks up a heated blank of moldable plastic sheet material from an oven and places the heated blank between upper and lower mold halves of the mold. An inner portion of the heated blank is forced into an article-defining cavity of the mold and into contact with at least a portion of the in-mold coating composition. The in-mold coating composition and the inner portion of the heated blank cure and bond to one another so as to form the coated plastic article.
COUNTERTOP
The improved mold assembly for cultured marble molding is provided. The mold assembly can comprise a male mold portion and a female mold portion. The assembly can further comprise a molding tool. The molding tool can have a side wall having an upper curved portion and a lower curved portion. The molding tool can have a bowl portion and an apron portion spaced from the bowl portion by a gap. The molding tool can be constructed from a flexible and/or soft material. The molding tool can facilitate molding of a countertop having at least one seamless curved edge and/or an at least partially seamless sink portion.
Methods for depositing anti-coking protective coatings on aerospace components
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to protective coatings on an aerospace component and methods for depositing the protective coatings. The protective coating can be anti-coking coatings to reduce or suppress coke formation when the aerospace component is heated in the presence of a fuel. In one or more embodiments, a method for depositing the protective coating on an aerospace component includes exposing the aerospace component to a cleaning process to produce a cleaned surface on the aerospace component and sequentially exposing the aerospace component to a precursor and a reactant to form a protective coating on the cleaned surface of the aerospace component by an atomic layer deposition (ALD) process. The aerospace component can be one or more of a fuel nozzle, a combustor liner, a combustor shield, a heat exchanger, a fuel line, a fuel valve, or any combination thereof.
Tamper resistant dosage forms
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical dosage forms, for example to a tamper resistant dosage form including an opioid analgesic, and processes of manufacture, uses, and methods of treatment thereof.
Automated manufacturing method and system and in-mold coated plastic article produced thereby
An automated manufacturing method and system and in-mold coated plastic article produced thereby are provided. The system includes a combination compression and injection mold and a plurality of program-controlled manipulators. An automatic sprayer supported on a first manipulator sprays at least a portion of a mold surface with an in-mold coating composition. An end effector supported on a second manipulator picks up a heated blank of moldable plastic sheet material from an oven and places the heated blank in the mold. An inner portion of the heated blank is forced into an article-defining cavity of the mold and into contact with at least a portion of the composition. The composition and the inner portion cure and bond to one another and a plastic compatible with the plastic of the sheet is injected into the mold so as to form the coated plastic article.
