Selective laser sintered fused deposition printing with cooling
A method of additive manufacturing of an object may include directing laser energy from a laser to a region for material deposition, extruding material using an extruder at the region of material deposition, sensing temperature within the region of the material deposition, and electronically controlling the laser energy using the temperature so as to sufficiently heat the region for material deposition prior to extruding the material to increase strength of the object. The method may include hardening or freezing extruded material through cooling in real-time.
Imprint apparatus, imprint method, and method of manufacturing article
An imprint apparatus executes an imprint process for shaping an imprint material by using a mold. The apparatus includes a controller which obtains first height distribution information indicating a height distribution of a surface of a first substrate, and a measuring device which obtains second height distribution information indicating a height distribution of a surface of a second substrate. The controller controls the imprint process based on corrected height distribution information which is obtained by removing a first component that is an approximation function, of an order not more than a first predetermined order, for approximating the first height distribution information, from the first height distribution information, and a second component which is an approximation function, of an order not more than a second predetermined order, for approximating the second height distribution information.
Composite automated debulk machine for large scale parts
An assembly for debulking an uncured stack of plies of fiber reinforced composite material positioned on a forming tool, including a force application element and a heat source, associated with the force application element. The heat source is positioned in at least one of the following positions: spaced apart from a top ply to directionally heat the uncured stack of plies from the top ply through a bottom ply of the uncured stack of plies; with the forming tool positioned between the heat source and the uncured stack of plies, the heat source to heat the forming tool, to directionally heat the uncured stack of plies in a direction from the bottom ply through the top ply; or between the uncured stack of plies and the forming tool, to directionally heat the uncured stack of plies in the direction from the bottom ply through the top ply.
Imprinting method
An imprinting method, which includes following steps. A workpiece is conveyed to a working region by a first conveyer unit. The workpiece is imprinted in the working region through an imprinting segment of a flexible imprinting mold film. The flexible imprinting mold film is driven by a driving roller set, such that at least another one of the imprinting segments of the flexible imprinting mold film rolled around the driving roller set is expanded from the driving roller set and moved to the working region.
VISUAL INDICATION OF COMPOSITE FIBER ORIENTATION
A method for determining and indicating the orientation of fibers in a selected portion to be removed from a composite stock panel. The method may include determining the orientation of fibers in a composite stock panel based on a pre-existing indicator carried by the stock panel, and applying a fiber orientation indicating mark to at least part of a selected stock panel portion that is to be separated from the stock panel and from the pre-existing indicator, the fiber orientation indicating mark corresponding to the orientation of the pre-existing indicator.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR CASTING OPTICAL POLYMER FILMS
In an example method of forming an optical film for an eyepiece, a curable material is dispensed into a space between a first and a second mold surface. A position of the first mold surface relative to the second mold surface is measured using a plurality of sensors. Each sensor measures a respective relative distance along a respective measurement axis between a respective point on a planar portion of the first mold surface and a respective point on a planar portion of the second mold surface. The measurement axes are parallel to each other, and the points define corresponding triangles on the first and second mold surfaces, respectively. The position of the first mold surface is adjusted relative to the second mold surface based on the measured position, and the curable material is cured to form the optical film.
Color-based heating system
A color based heating system is disclosed. A film for repair of aircraft components of fiber reinforced plastic has color changing properties that can include being temperature-dependent. The color changing properties can be reversible. A system for heating a repair site of a component of fiber reinforced plastic includes the film, a camera and a heating plate. The heating plate can have individually controllable heating zones. A controller can use local color signals of the camera for locally controlling local heating zones of the heating plate. The controller can assign local color signals of the camera to temperatures.
Partially molded substrate and partial molding device and method
A partially molded substrate and a partial molding apparatus and a method thereof, which cover and mold each of one or more conductors formed on the substrate with the insulator to prevent the sizes of the substrate from being increased due to molding, thereby efficiently preventing high voltage between the conductors on the substrate from being applied, and thereby preventing interference around the conductor.
Composite resin material and molded article
An object of the present invention is to provide a resin material that yields a resin molded article which has not only a low volume resistivity but also excellent weldability and cleanliness and whose volume resistivity is unlikely to be increased even when subjected to an SPM cleaning treatment and the like. The present invention provides a composite resin material that contains a modified polytetrafluoroethylene and carbon nanotubes and has an average particle diameter of 500 m or smaller.
