PLASTIC MOLDED PART AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A method for production of a molded part made of plastic by rotational molding includes placing a starting material in a form of at least one of a plastic or a plastic precursor into a rotational melt mold that is fitted with at least one magnetic element. The rotational melt mold is rotated and, while the rotational melt mold is rotating, the starting material is shaped. The at least one magnetic element rotates together with the rotational melt mold while the starting material is being shaped. The starting material and the at least one magnetic element are configured in such a way that the starting material and the at least one magnetic element interact magnetically such that a portion of the starting material is attracted and held in place by the at least one magnetic element while the starting material is being shaped.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELASTOMERIC SKIN
A method for producing an elastomeric skin having visually spotted appearance may include providing a liquid skin forming composition having solid spot forming particles having a longest dimension that is at least 40 μm and spraying the liquid skin forming composition in the form of a spray of droplets onto a mold surface. The provision of solid spot forming particles that are comparable in size to the droplet size may aid in projecting the solid spot forming particles forward upon impact on the mold surface such that a percentage thereof appear visible on the front face of the elastomeric skin after demolding thereby resulting in a front face with a spotted appearance without having to use multiple liquid skin forming compositions.

Provided is a powder moldable vinyl chloride resin composition for a real-stitched surface skin that is capable of providing a molded product having excellent flexibility at low temperatures and real stitching properties. The powder moldable vinyl chloride resin composition for a real-stitched surface skin contains vinyl chloride resin particles (a) having an average degree of polymerization of at least 1,200 and no greater than 5,000, a trimellitate plasticizer (b), and vinyl chloride resin fine particles (c) having an average degree of polymerization of at least 1,000 and no greater than 5,000.
Core-shell microneedle platform for transdermal and pulsatile drug/vaccine delivery and method of manufacturing the same
A core-shell microneedle system and a method of manufacturing the microneedle system provides a pulsatile drug delivery system which is programmed to release drugs/vaccines at predictable times using biodegradable polymers and with controllable dosages. This microneedle system can be fully embedded into the skin and then release drugs/vaccines as sharp bursts in a timely manner, similar to multiple bolus injections.
ANTI-STATIC COMPOSITIONS
Various embodiments disclosed relate to anti-static compositions and gloves made from the same. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a doped polyaniline comprising a dopant that is a polyacrylic acid; a polymethacrylic acid; a sulfonatocalixarene; a cyclodextrin sulfate; a compound having the structure:

wherein R.sup.2 is chosen from substituted or unsubstituted (C.sub.1-C.sub.10)hydrocarbyl- and substituted or unsubstituted (C.sub.1-C.sub.10)hydrocarbyl-O—. L.sup.1 is substituted or unsubstituted (C.sub.1-C.sub.10)hydrocarbylene. L.sup.2 is chosen from a bond, —O—, —O—C(O)—, and —NH—C(O)—, and n is about 1 to about 100,000; a salt thereof; or a combination thereof.
One-step solution casting method for preparing polyvinylidene fluoride-based pyroelectric polymer film
A one-step solution casting method for preparing a PVDF-based pyroelectric polymer film is provided, which belongs to the technical field of functional material preparation. The method comprises steps of: treating a substrate with a hydrophilic reagent to obtain a hydrophilically-modified substrate, and then casting the organic solution of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) or its copolymer on the hydrophilically-modified substrate. After cured, the as-casted PVDF-based film shows pyroelectricity without undergoing any stretching or poling post-treatment, indicates that the dipoles of the one-step prepared film are aligned. The self-polarization of the prepared film is attributed to a hydrogen bond induced layer-by-layer electrostatic self-assembly growth mechanism. The method is simple, low cost, high efficient, high capability to produce thick and large-area film with smooth morphology and ease to be scalized.
Rotomoulded articles prepared from a blend of polyethylene powders
The present invention discloses the use of a dry blend comprising a polyethylene resin and a functionalized polyolefin or ionomer in a composition with a thermoplastic resin in order to produce a layer that provides adhesion, fire resistance and low permeation rate in a multi layer rotomolded article.
Latex composition for dip molding and dip-molded article produced therefrom
Disclosed is a latex composition for dip molding comprising a carboxylic acid-modified nitrile copolymer latex and starch and an article produced therefrom. Advantageously, a dip-molded article having low syneresis, less stickiness and superior tensile strength can be obtained by using the carboxylic acid-modified nitrile latex in conjunction with starch.
Active energy ray-curable resin composition, resin molded article, and method for producing resin molded article
