An apparatus for a curtain rod that is attachable to a ceiling or to a wall and that possesses graspable holders slidable along a sliding rod of the curtain rod and supportable by the same, which graspable holders have devices for holding a curtain. The curtain rod has a ledge-shaped holder base extending along the length of the curtain rod, through which screws are received for fastening the holder base against the ceiling or wall. From the holder base, a ledge-shaped neck extends that supports the sliding rod. An obtuse angle is formed between the holder base and neck, in the space formed between the wall or ceiling where the curtain rod is fastened. At the top, the holders have flanges, at least one flange of which is shape-adapted to the cross-sectional shape of the sliding rod and possibly to spring apart from the other flange.

A curtain changing apparatus and method of use thereof includes a curtain retrieval arm engageable with a curtain track to allow the transfer of a curtain between the curtain track and the curtain retrieval arm. A removable insert is adapted to bridge the full or partial cutout section of the curtain track for normal use of the track, and an insert retrieval tool is adapted to enable removal and replacement of the insert from ground level.

In specific embodiments, the stem defines a hook opening sized to receive a curtain hook at a location spaced apart from the spool. The curtain carrier assembly further includes a curtain hook configured to support a portion of a sliding curtain. The curtain hook is coupled to the stem such that the curtain hook passes through the hook opening.

Embodiments are provided of a curtain carrier forming a part of a curtain carrier assembly configured to support a curtain. The curtain carrier assembly includes an elongate track with a slot. The linear slide bar (110) has a slide surface coated with a lacquer comprising a resin. The lacquer is in turn at least partly coated with a lipophilic composition coating. The lipophilic composition coating provides a slide layer on the slide bar (110) with low friction. The sliding system (101) is arranged to support a sliding screen (130), such as a sliding door or a sliding curtain, connected to the sliding member (120) to allow for linear movement of the sliding screen (130) along the longitudinal axis of the linear slide bar (110).

A metal curtain glide includes a spherical metal core coupled to a cable and having a polymer cup formed to fit a base of the metal core. The polymer cup includes a central opening for the cable to extend therethrough. An eyelet having a circular member with a connecting member is coupled to an end of the cable. A first member of a fastener assembly is coupled to the eyelet and configured to be removably secured to a second member of the fastener assembly that is coupled to a curtain. The curtain glide remains functional if the polymer cup fails.
