SOLID CARBON PRODUCTS COMPRISING CARBON NANOTUBES AND METHODS OF FORMING SAME
Methods of forming solid carbon products include disposing a plurality of nanotubes in a press, and applying heat to the plurality of carbon nanotubes to form the solid carbon product. Further processing may include sintering the solid carbon product to form a plurality of covalently bonded carbon nanotubes. The solid carbon product includes a plurality of voids between the carbon nanotubes having a median minimum dimension of less than about 100 nm. Some methods include compressing a material comprising carbon nanotubes, heating the compressed material in a non-reactive environment to form covalent bonds between adjacent carbon nanotubes to form a sintered solid carbon product, and cooling the sintered solid carbon product to a temperature at which carbon of the carbon nanotubes do not oxidize prior to removing the resulting solid carbon product for further processing, shipping, or use.
Methods for fabricating semiconductor packages by using a mold press with an upper chase and a lower chase
Disclosed is a method for fabricating a semiconductor package. A mold press with upper and lower chases is used. A molded underfill (MUF) material is dispensed on a bottom surface of a mold cavity to form a first dispensed pattern with a serpentine shape. A base substrate on which die stacks are mounted is loaded on the upper chase. The mold cavity in which the die stacks are inserted is closed and MUF material flows between the die stacks to impregnate the die stacks.
CORE-SHELL MICRONEEDLE PLATFORM FOR TRANSDERMAL AND PULSATILE DRUG/VACCINE DELIVERY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A core-shell microneedle system and a method of manufacturing the microneedle system provides a pulsatile drug delivery system which is programmed to release drugs/vaccines at predictable times using biodegradable polymers and with controllable dosages. This microneedle system can be fully embedded into the skin and then release drugs/vaccines as sharp bursts in a timely manner, similar to multiple bolus injections.

Thermoplastic acoustic blocker door
A method for manufacturing a thrust reverser blocker door may comprise thermoforming a sandwich panel comprising a facesheet, a backsheet, and a honeycomb core. The method may further comprising overmolding a mounting structure onto the backsheet. The first thermoplastic material may comprise a continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite material. The second thermoplastic material may comprise a discontinuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite material.
Sporting apparatus and industrial products
There is herein described a range of sporting products comprising sucker elements, which can be used in various uses such as on products which require, for example, hand or any other type of grip contact. The grip contact may be with the feet or hands (or any other part of the body). The sporting products that the grips may be used on may comprise rackets (e.g. for tennis/badminton/squash etc.), bats (e.g. cricket/baseball/table-tennis etc.), bicycles, motorcycles, golf clubs, water sports (surfing, windsurfing) etc. The sucker elements may also be included with other sporting product such as on the inside and/or outside of running sock or shoes for example. There is also described a range of industrial products comprising sucker elements which can be used in a range of applications such as on a range of vehicle parts (e.g. bus rails, train rails, boat rails, steering wheels, motorbike handles and foot pegs etc.), industrial machinery (e.g. handles for tools such as drills, pneumatic drills etc.), flooring (e.g. decking on boats and in industrial environments), crockery, bathroom and shower flooring, and surfaces to aid disabled people.
REPLICATION TOOL
The present invention relates to a replication tool for replicating an element from a replication material, the replication tool comprising a replication side, a plurality of cavities on the replication side, each defining the shape of one element or a group of elements, the replication tool further comprising at least one bump portion, protruding, on the replication side, from the cavities, and further comprising means for confining the replication material to a predetermined area of the tool, when the tool is pressed against a substrate, which predetermined area exceeds the desired volume of the element in at least one direction along the surface of the substrate.
Method and System for Producing a Threaded Bolt
The invention relates to a method for producing a threaded bolt. A blank is introduced into a threaded-bolt negative mold. The blank has a bolt-shaped portion. Fibers which are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the bolt-shaped portion are embedded in a plastics material in the blank. Pressure is exerted on the blank in order to deform the blank in the negative mold such that a threaded structure is formed on a circumferential face of the bolt-shaped portion. The invention moreover relates to a threaded bolt which is manufacturable by this method, and to a system which is conceived for carrying out the method. Lightweight and hard-wearing threaded bolts may be manufactured by the method according to the invention.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING SOFT PROJECTILES
The present invention discloses a system and method for making soft projectiles for use with toy and recreational firearms, the system and method comprising of a mold and a projectile material, the mold comprising of a first plate with one or more protrusions and a second plate with one or more cavities, the second plate mated with the first plate to form one or more soft projectiles.
