The oil gel composition has an average peel strength of less than 0.3 lbf/in measured according to ASTM D 1876. Articles formed from the oil gel composition are characterized as being tack-free.
JOINED BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided is a method of manufacturing a joined body, each of which provides satisfactory molding processability and can achieve both a satisfactory appearance and joining strength at a joining portion. The method of manufacturing a joined body includes injecting a thermoplastic elastomer, after melting of the thermoplastic elastomer, into a mold in which a molded body (I) is placed, to thereby integrate a molded body (II) derived from the thermoplastic elastomer and the molded body (I) with each other, the molded body (I) containing a filler, the filler having an arithmetic average particle diameter of from 1 m to 5 m.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INJECTION MOLDING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RESIN MOLDING
Provided are a method for manufacturing an injection molding material enabling easy molding while using a die, and a method for manufacturing a resin molding using the injection molding material. The method for manufacturing an injection molding material includes: a molding step of molding a resin composition including 50 mass % or more of inorganic particles with respect to mass of the whole composition and thermoplastic resin into a sheet through a die with an extruder; an evaluating step of evaluating thickness of a sheet-like resin extruded from the die; and a selecting step of selecting the sheet-like resin as an injection molding material on the basis of a result of evaluation.
Process For Reducing Gate Blush and Mold Design For Same
A system and process for injection molding polymer articles is described. The system and process are designed to reduce gate blush. In one embodiment, an injection molding device injects a molten polymer composition into a mold cavity adjacent to an interior curved surface on the mold. The flow of the polymer material is parallel to a line that is tangent to the curved surface.
Magnetic plastic induction
A plastic product having magnetic properties and a method for making the same is provided. The method comprises creating a mixture of a nylon and a metal, melting the mixture to create a melted mixture of the metal suspended in the nylon, injecting the melted mixture into a mold to harden the melted mixture and shape the melted mixture into the product's shape, applying an electrical current to the mold while the mixture is in a viscous state to align the poles of the metal suspended in the nylon in the mixture in a single direction before the mixture has hardened, and applying a magnetic field to the hardened mixture to provide the product with magnetic properties.
Cottonseed oil based liquid color composition and plastics coloring method using the same
A method of fabricating plastic products having a preselected color, comprising preparing a dispersion of pigment of the preselected color in cottonseed oil; supplying a preselected plastic resin for the product to be fabricated to a process machine having a rotating screw; furnishing the dispersion to the process machine at a position adjacent to threaded portion of the rotating screw; and blending the dispersion and the resin by rotating the screw.
Plastic molded part and method for producing the same
A method for production of a molded part made of plastic by rotational molding includes placing a starting material in a form of at least one of a plastic or a plastic precursor into a rotational melt mold that is fitted with at least one magnetic element. The rotational melt mold is rotated and, while the rotational melt mold is rotating, the starting material is shaped. The at least one magnetic element rotates together with the rotational melt mold while the starting material is being shaped. The starting material and the at least one magnetic element are configured in such a way that the starting material and the at least one magnetic element interact magnetically such that a portion of the starting material is attracted and held in place by the at least one magnetic element while the starting material is being shaped.
PARTICULATE-BINDER COMPOSITE ARTICLE AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A system for manufacturing a particulate-binder composite article including a mold defining a mold cavity, a first opening into the mold cavity, and a second opening into the mold cavity, a mass of a particulate material received in the mold cavity, a binder source in selective fluid communication with the mold cavity by way of the first opening, the binder source including a binder material, a first filter disposed across the first opening, the first filter being permeable to the binder material and substantially impermeable to the particulate material, and a second filter disposed across the second opening, the second filter being permeable to air and substantially impermeable to the particulate material.
PLASTICS COLORING USING COTTONSEED OIL-BASED LIQUID COLOR COMPOSITIONS
A method of fabricating plastic products having a preselected color, comprising preparing a dispersion of pigment of the preselected color in cottonseed oil; supplying a preselected plastic resin for the product to be fabricated to a process machine having a rotating screw; furnishing the dispersion to the process machine at a position adjacent to threaded portion of the rotating screw; and blending the dispersion and the resin by rotating the screw.
