Bioabsorbable polymeric composition for a medical device
A crystallized bioabsorbable polymer scaffold comprises a polymer composition of poly (L-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (D-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) or poly (D-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) in the form of block copolymers of blocky copolymers, wherein the scaffold is cold-bendable.
Implantable access port including a sandwiched radiopaque insert
An access port for subcutaneous implantation is disclosed. The access port may include a body for capturing a septum for repeatedly inserting a needle therethrough into a cavity defined within the body. The access port may further include at least one feature structured and configured for identification of the access port subsequent to subcutaneous implantation. Methods of identifying a subcutaneously implanted access port are also disclosed. For example, a subcutaneously implanted access port may be provided and at least one feature of the subcutaneously implanted access port may be perceived. The subcutaneously implanted access port may be identified in response to perceiving the at least one feature. In one embodiment, an identification feature is included on a molded insert that is sandwiched between base and cap portions of the access port so as to be visible after implantation via x-ray imaging technology.
System and method for producing toy balls for pets
A method of producing toy balls for pets, including: manufacturing distorted sphere balls with an opening in the distorted area using injection molding; sealing the opening of the distorted sphere balls to form uni-body sphere-shaped balls. The material used in the production of these toys can be rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, or thermoplastic rubber. This method allows to manufacture toy balls with no detached parts in the case of broken joints when the balls are chewed or torn apart by the pets. Thus, the ball can help to keep the pets from endangering themselves by swallowing detached parts of pet toy balls.
Signaling of sterile adapter and tool attachment for use in a robotic surgical system
Generally, a system for use in a robotic surgical system may be used to determine an attachment state between a tool driver, sterile adapter, and surgical tool of the system. The system may include sensors used to generate attachment data corresponding to the attachment state. The attachment state may be used to control operation of the tool driver and surgical tool. In some variations, one or more of the attachment states may be visually output to an operator using one or more of the tool driver, sterile adapter, and surgical tool. In some variations, the tool driver and surgical tool may include electronic communication devices configured to be in close proximity when the surgical tool is attached to the sterile adapter and tool driver.
Resin piping assembly, and process of forming the same
A resin piping assembly including a base divisional component having first and second half components having respective first and second interfacial surfaces formed along an oil passage, and first and second divisional components which have respective third and fourth interfacial surfaces formed along the oil passage, and which are bonded to the respective first and second half components. Each of the base divisional component, and the first and second divisional components is formed of a resin material, and the first and second interfacial surfaces are spaced apart from each other, and open in respective opposite directions. The base divisional component further includes a cylindrical connecting pipe portion having a connecting passage portion which is a part of the oil passage and which is provided for communication between the first and second passage portions. Also disclosed is a process of forming the resin piping assembly.
COMPONENT WITH INTEGRATED SENSOR CHIP
A vehicle trim assembly includes a first trim component having an interior facing surface and an exterior facing surface, the first trim component including an extended portion, a second trim component including an edge defining a groove configured to engage with the extended portion of the first trim component, and a single chip sensor overmolded with the second trim component such that the single chip sensor is integrated into the second trim component. The single chip sensor is formed with the second trim component in a multi-shot injection molding process.
CASE FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE, ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING SAME, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Introduced is a case for an electronic device, the case comprising: a base layer for configuring a basic frame; a first pattern layer formed on the base layer; a second pattern layer applied onto the first pattern layer; and a clear-painted layer which is applied to coat the first pattern layer or the second pattern layer. In addition, various other embodiments are possible.
Golf club head
A golf club head includes a center of gravity spaced less than 5 mm from a vertical center plane that is perpendicular to a striking face plane and extends through a striking face center. The golf club head also includes a first component having a first melting point and a first density and a second component having a second melting point higher than the first melting point and a second density less than the first density. And the second component (i) is at least partially encapsulated by the first component, (ii) extends into a hosel portion below a hosel bore, and (iii) has a mass less than about 5 g.
Biodegradable Bottle For Liquids
A bottle for holding liquids that is biodegradable and that is made from environmentally sustainable materials. The bottle includes a body, a shoulder, a neck portion, and a cap. According to one aspect, the neck portion of the bottle is made of bioplastic, and the shoulder and body of the bottle are made from thermoformed pulp. The bioplastic neck can mate with, and be adhered to, the shoulder, and the shoulder can mate with, and be adhered to, the pulp body.
METHOD OF PERFORMING DROPLET-BASED ASSAYS
Method of analysis. In the method, a first emulsion and a second emulsion substantially separated from one another by a spacer fluid may be formed. The first emulsion, the spacer fluid, and the second emulsion may be flowed in a channel from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet of a heating and cooling station having two or more temperature-controlled zones, such that each emulsion is thermally cycled to promote amplification of a nucleic acid target in droplets of the emulsion. Amplification data may be collected from individual droplets of each emulsion downstream of the heating and cooling station. A level of the nucleic acid target present in each emulsion may be determined based on the amplification data collected from the individual droplets of the emulsion.
