METHOD OF INJECTION MOLDING PREFORM

A method of injection molding a test tube-shaped preform for biaxial stretch blow molding includes supplying a major material resin from outer and inner flow paths to a combined flow path for a predetermined time and rate. For a period of time within a range of the predetermined time period during which the major material resin is supplied, the intermediate layer resin is simultaneously supplied from the middle flow path to the combined flow path at a second predetermined supplying rate. A columnar laminated molten resin is injected into a cavity of a metal mold connected to a tip of the nozzle through a gate to fill the cavity, the columnar laminated molten resin being composed of the major material resin and the intermediate layer resin formed in the major material resin in a laminated manner that are combined into a columnar shape at the combined flow path.

INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS AND INJECTION MOLDING PROCESS FOR PRODUCING MULTICOMPONENT PLASTICS MOLDINGS

An injection molding apparatus for producing a plastics molding comprising a first component, a second component, and a third component comprises a first mold plate having at least 3 first mold nests, and a second mold plate having at least 3 second mold nests. In the closed state, the mold plates cooperate in the production of the plastics mold. In the opened state, the second mold plate is rotatable relative to the first mold plate. The at least 3 second mold nests comprise, in a case A), at least two second mold nests for injection molding the first component, and at least one second mold nest for injection molding the third component, or, in a case B), at least two second mold nests for injection molding the second component, and at least one second mold nest for injection molding the first component.

Polymer sealed in-mold decoration and method of manufacture

An injection molded product formed from an inner layer, or substrate, to which an aesthetic IMD layer is bonded during a first injection molding process, leaving a portion of the substrate exposed about the perimeter(s) of the substrate. A transparent outer layer, or overmold, is then injection molded over the top of the IMD layer and substrate, bonding substantially to the IMD layer and to the substrate where it remains exposed following the first injection molding. The process of forming a product through the disclosed two-step injection molding process creates a customizable, aesthetic product with an aesthetic IMD layer completely encapsulated between the substrate and a clear overmold in such a way to protect the IMD layer from the environment in which the product is used.

Injection-molded article and method for manufacturing same

This injection-molded article is an injection-molded article using a cellulosic fiber composite resin, including: a resin insert piece including a colorant or a cellulose fiber; a first region formed of the cellulosic fiber composite resin; and a second region formed along a weld line of the cellulosic fiber composite resin extending from the resin insert piece, in which the first region and the second region have different color tones.

SYSTEM OF MANUFACTURING INJECTION MOLDED ARTICLE AND METAL MOLD

In an injection process, molten resin is successively injected from a first flow channel and a second flow channel connected with each other in order into a cavity of a metal mold. High-temperature resin existing in the first flow channel is injected in advance into the cavity as a part of a single shot of molten resin to later form a skin layer of a molded article. Other low temperature resin near a flowable limit existing in the second flow channel is subsequently injected into the cavity as another part of the single shot of molten resin to later form a core layer of the molded article. A low temperature resin remaining in the first flow channel when injection is completed is warmed to be a high-temperature resin before the next cycle, thereby allowing successive molding of molded articles.
