RETRACTABLE GUIDE
A retractable guide (200) is provided for use in a cooling die (202) for the manufacture of extruded food products. The retractable guide (200) is configured to be secured between an input end and an output end of the cooling die (202). A method of high moisture extrusion suitable for manufacturing foodstuffs is also provided, which comprises inserting the retractable guide (200) into a cooling die (202).
Devices, systems, and processes for processing polymers
Embodiments of an invention disclosed herein relate to devices, processes, and systems for processing one or more polymers.
Retainer For Filters, Manufacturing Method Therefor, And Leaf Disc Filter Element
The retainer includes a first metal plate member 10A or 40A in which flow-path forming members having a predetermined curved shape or a linear shape are arranged on the same plane in parallel to each other at a predetermined interval to form a donut shape as a hole, and a second metal plate member 10B or 40B having a configuration equivalent to that of the first metal plate member, wherein crossings of the flow-path forming members configuring the respective metal plate members are fixed with the second metal plate member stacked on the first metal plate member, and the flow-path forming members 15A or 50A configuring the first metal plate member and the flow-path forming members 15B or 50B configuring the second metal plate member form a line symmetric shape in plan view.
Shaping apparatus
A shaping apparatus includes a stand that includes a shaping surface on which a product is shaped; a feeder that feeds a linear material obtained by impregnating continuous fiber with resin; a pressing portion that presses the material fed by the feeder against the stand; and an angle setting portion that sets an angle formed between the material fed from the feeder to the pressing portion and the shaping surface to be an acute angle.
IMPRESSION ELEMENT FOR THE CREATION OF A SURGICAL GUIDE
According to an aspect of the invention there is provided a mouldable material carrier for use in producing an impression of a surgical site comprising: a base having a channel passing through the base between an inlet and an outlet; and a securing portion configured to secure a flexible sheet to the base around the outlet to cover the outlet such that, when mouldable material is urged through the inlet, the mouldable material is extruded out of the outlet and contained within a volume defined by the flexible sheet and the base, such that when the mouldable material carrier is urged against a surgical site, the mouldable material within the volume forms an impression of the surgical site without making contact with the surgical site.

DISTRIBUTION BLOCK
The invention relates to a distribution block for extrusion melt and a method for coextruding films with the aid of a distribution block for extrusion melt, wherein the distribution block comprises a movable sleeve.
High Molecular Weight Polyamides and CoPolyamides with Uniform RV and Low Gel Content
A customizable polyamide polymer, in particular Nylon 66, Nylon 6, and copolyamides, having a high molecular weight, excellent color, and low gel content is disclosed. In particular, disclosed is a polymer having a relative viscosity greater than 50 as measured in a 90% strength formic acid solution; consistent viscosity with a standard deviation of less than 1; a gel content no greater than 50 ppm as measured by insolubles larger than 10 micron; an optical defect content of less than 2,000 parts per million (ppm) as measured by optical control system (OCS). The polymer can be made into monofilaments or a multifilament yarn.
Extruder mixing element
A dispersive mixing element for co-rotating twin screw extruder is disclosed. The element for co-rotating twin screw extruder comprises of a continuous flight helically formed thereon having a lead ‘L’, wherein either the flight transforms at least once from an integer lobe flight into a non-integer lobe flight in a fraction of the lead ‘L’ and transforms back to an integer lobe flight in a fraction of the lead ‘L’ or the flight transforms at least once from a non-integer lobe flight into an integer lobe flight in a fraction of the lead ‘L’ and transforms back to a non-integer lobe flight in a fraction of the lead ‘L’.
Twin screw extruder
A twin screw extruder (10) for producing a fiber-reinforced resin composition, which is obtained by charging the extruder with a thermoplastic resin and reinforcing fibers in roving form and the reinforcing fibers being fibrillated/cut and being dispersed/kneaded into the thermoplastic resin, comprises: a plate-shaped blade (15), which protrudes from the inner surface of a cylinder (11) and faces a screw (20) and the longitudinal direction of which faces the axial direction of the cylinder; and a height adjustment means (16) for adjusting the gap between the blade (15) and the screw (20).
