Microstructured composite material, comprising a matrix, comprising at least one sort of a thermoplastic plastic material and, distributed homogenously in the matrix, at least one sort of lignin and/or at least one lignin derivative, characterized in that the at least one sort of lignin and/or at least one lignin derivative is present in particulate form and the cross-sectional area of the particles has a round, approximately round, circular, approximately circular, elliptical or approximately elliptical geometry.

PRODUCTION PROCESSING AID

A process includes contacting a metallic acrylic salt with a polyolefin, forming a polyolefin composition. The process includes extruding the polyolefin composition, and pelletizing the extruded polyolefin composition. A production rate of pellets of the polyolefin composition may be equal to or greater than a production rate of pellets of the polyolefin prior to contact with the metallic acrylic salt without increasing extrusion pressure or motor amperes. The polyolefin composition may have a melt flow rate that is lower than the melt flow rate of the polyolefin prior to contact with the metallic acrylic salt. The metallic acrylic salt may only be contacted with the polyolefin to form the polyolefin composition during a start-up of an extruder and pelletizer.

A molding apparatus that adsorbs thermoplastic resin extruded in a sheet form from an extruding machine, onto a cavity of a mold, and shapes the thermoplastic resin into a shape according to the cavity is provided. The molding apparatus may include a frame that is positioned on a periphery of the mold and is movable relative to the mold, wherein a suction part for suctioning the thermoplastic resin is provided in a contact surface of the frame to contact the thermoplastic resin, and the suction part is provided in a linear shape along with a longitudinal direction of the frame positioned on the periphery of the mold.

BLOW MOLDING COMPOSITION AND PROCESS

This invention provides a blow molding composition comprising a high molecular weight, chromium catalyzed ethylene copolymer (also referred to as a polyethylene resin) and a nucleating agent. The composition enables a more efficient blow molding process by reducing the number of malformed/rejected parts that are produced when the process is operated at high rates. In a preferred embodiment, the malformed parts may be reground and added to “virgin” composition for the production of prime parts.

Provided are: a pipe-shaped integrally molded article which is formed by molding a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition, and which has, at one or more portions thereof, at least one selected from different-shape sections, bent sections, and different-diameter sections, the pipe-shaped integrally molded article being characterized in that the total length L (mm) thereof is 1000 or more, and the ratio (L/D) of the total length L (mm) to the outer diameter D (mm) of the pipe-shaped integrally molded article is 20 or more: and a production method for the pipe-shaped integrally molded article. According to the present invention, it is possible to efficiently provide a pipe-shaped integrally molded article having a desired large length and including a three-dimensionally complicated shape, by using a PPS resin composition having excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance.

POLYMERIC MATERIAL FOR CONTAINER
20170239874 · 2017-08-24 ·

A vessel is configured to hold a product in an interior region formed in the vessel. The vessel is formed using a blow-molding process in which a multiple layer parison is blow molded to form the vessel. The multiple layer parison is formed in an extrusion process in which a number of extruders are arranged to co-extrude associated inner and outer parisons to establish the multiple layer parison.

CONTAINER IN WHICH INNER SURFACE IS FORMED FROM OLEFIN RESIN LAYER

A method of producing a directly blow-formed container. The method includes subjecting a multilayered parison having an inner surface formed of an olefin resin to direct blow forming, the olefin resin containing (i) an organic bleeding lubricant having a melting point of not higher than 50° C. in an amount of 5 to 10% by mass, and (ii) a high silica zeolite having a silica/alumina mole ratio of not less than 80 in an amount of 0.2 to 3.0% by mass.

Hollow body, process for manufacturing it and use thereof in a vehicle

A process for manufacturing a hollow body including a thermoplastic wall and a fibrous reinforcement welded on at least one portion of the surface of the wall, or its outer surface, the fibrous reinforcement including a thermoplastic similar to or compatible with that of the wall of the hollow body, having a thickness of at least 1 mm and from 30 to 60% in weight of fibers, the method including heating a portion of the outer surface of the hollow body where the reinforcement will be welded; heating the fibrous reinforcement to soften or melt the thermoplastic of the reinforcement; and moving the reinforcement and applying the reinforcement to the portion of the outer surface of the hollow body. The applying the reinforcement includes: applying an initial pressure on at least one portion of the reinforcement; and applying pressure for a final welding using robotized pressure applying mechanism.

Peroxide treated metallocene-based polyolefins with improved melt strength

Disclosed herein are ethylene-based polymers having low densities and narrow molecular weight distributions, but high melt strengths for blown film processing. Such polymers can be produced by peroxide-treating a metallocene-catalyzed resin.
