MOLD UNIT, BLOW MOLDING APPARATUS AND BLOW MOLDING METHOD

One purpose of the present invention is to provide a mold unit which is capable of achieving improvements in both energy efficiency and heat resistance performance; a blow molding apparatus; and a blow molding method. The present invention is provided with: a first mold part for performing a first step in which a preform is subjected to heat-set blowing at a first temperature; and a second metal mold part for performing a second step in which an intermediate molded body blow molded as a result of the heat-set blowing is blow molded at a second temperature lower than the first temperature, to produce a container. The first mold part and the second mold part are disposed adjacently to each other.

VOLUME CONTROLLED BLOWING-AIR FEED

A device for controlling a blow-molding machine for producing a thermoplastic container, wherein a blowing gas for blow-molding the container is introduced into a thermally conditioned preform, while the preform is held in a blow mold of the blow-molding machine. The blowing gas is introduced during a preblowing phase into the preform so that the temperature-conditioned material of the preform approaches the walls of the blow mold. The blowing gas is introduced during a following finish-blowing phase into the preform so that the temperature-conditioned material of the preform is pressed into the contours of the blow mold walls. The volumetric flow rate of the blowing gas is determined at least during the preblowing phase by an adjustable flow-control valve that can be controlled by a control unit that generates a control signal for adjusting the flow-control valve. The flow-control valve is adjusted as a function of the control signal.

PREFORM HANDLING DEVICE, AND BLOW FORMING DEVICE

A preform has a flange that protrudes outward at a neck, and is supplied in an inverted state. A preform handling device includes a star wheel that is configured so that the preform is supplied to each of a plurality of depressions that are formed in an outer circumferential part of a wheel, and pushes the preform to rotationally transfer the preform from an upstream region to a downstream region, an end face guide member that is provided in the upstream region so as to be situated under the preform and that support and guide an open end face of the preform, and a pair of flange guide members that are provided in the downstream region and that support and guide a lower side of the flange of the preform.

BLOW MOLDING APPARATUS

A blow molding apparatus includes: an injection molding section for injection molding a plurality of preforms at a time; a cooling section for cooling the preforms; a heating section for heating the preforms while continuously transporting them along a transport line; and a blow molding section for blow molding the preforms to form hollow containers. The blow molding section includes a primary blow molding section which is equipped with a heat-treating blow mold and blow molds the preforms moved from the transport line into the heat-treating blow mold to form intermediate molded products, and a secondary blow molding section which is equipped with a final blow mold and blow molds the intermediate molded products moved from the heat-treating blow mold into the final blow mold to form the hollow containers.

Method for producing a plastic article and blow molding tool

The invention relates to a method for producing a plastic article and a blow molding tool for performing the method. The method comprises extruding an approximately tube-shaped preform, dividing the melt flow within the extrusion head or separating the extrudate exiting or already exited from the extrusion head, such that a preform having an approximately C-shaped cross section is obtained, forming the preform into a hollow part within a multipart blow molding tool using differential pressure, wherein an expansion and partial preforming of the preform first takes place with the blow molding tool partially closed, then in a further step at least one insert is inserted into the interior of the partially preformed article between the not completely closed blow molding tool and through the open side of the preform, and in a further step the blow molding tool is completely closed, wherein the article is completely formed, forming at least one at least partially circumferential pinch-off seam.
