METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PLASTIC TANK
20210078236 · 2021-03-18 ·

A method of producing a plastic tank includes preparing a tank wall as a hot semi-finished sheet, in which at least one outer layer of the hot semi-finished sheet is composed of a first material. A reinforcing sheet, composed at least partially of the first material, is then attached to at least one region of the outer layer of the hot semi-finished sheet via a weld connection. The hot semi-finished sheet with the attached reinforcing sheet is then shaped to form the tank wall while simultaneously enhancing the attachment of the reinforcing sheet to the tank wall.

PLASTIC TANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PLASTIC TANK

A tank that includes a tank wall composed of a plastic material, and at least one reinforcing profile member configured to minimize deformation of the plastic tank. The at least one reinforcing profile member is configured for arrangement on an outer side of the tank wall to be engaged by the tank wall and establish a positive material bond connection therewith. The at least one reinforcing profile member has a retaining geometry region with a plurality of openings through and/or into which material of the tank wall extends and onto a rear side of the reinforcing profile member facing away from the tank wall to thereby establish the positive material bond connection between the tank wall and the at least one reinforcing profile member at the retaining geometry region.

Painted electroluminescent vehicle trim components

A painted vehicle trim component such as a spoiler, side-view mirror housing, or other vehicle body part is provided with electroluminescent paint to emit light from its surface. The trim component includes a substrate having a mounting surface for attaching to the vehicle. A conductor body is at least partially embedded in the substrate to provide a conductive surface exposed externally of the substrate. A conductive wire is crimped to the conductor body and is adapted to connect to an electrical power source remotely from the vehicle trim component. A conductive bus bar paint layer is deposited over the substrate and onto the exposed conductive surface of the conductor body. A light-emitting paint layer deposited over the substrate is disposed relative to the conductive paint layer such that light is emitted when an electrical signal is received at the conductive wire.

Multiple compartment container assembly
