THERMOFORMED ARTICLE WITH CO-INJECTED FEATURES
A thermoformed article is disclosed that includes a self-supporting structural base layer, a covering applied to a first side of the base layer, and one or more secondary features co-injected upon a second side of the base layer. The covering and the secondary features of the thermoformed article are applied to the base layer during the same molding operation. Also disclosed is a process for forming a thermoformed article that includes placing a covering in a mold tool as a first layer, placing a self-supporting structural base layer in the mold tooling as a second layer, closing the mold tooling with the covering and base layer, and co-injecting upon a side of the base layer opposite to the covering one or more secondary features.
Trim part for a motor vehicle, as well as method and device for its manufacture
The present disclosure pertains to a trim part for a motor vehicle that comprises: a carrier; and a decorative material applied onto an upper surface of the carrier, wherein the decorative material comprises a printed thermoplastic film; and wherein the trim part is shaped by a deep-drawing process and a grain or impression is produced on the visible side of the film, which faces away from the carrier, by the deep-drawing process. A method and a device for manufacturing the trim part is also proposed.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A THERMOPLASTIC CONTAINER AND SYSTEM FOR PULLING A TUBE APART
A method for manufacturing a thermoplastic container may include locally heating a middle zone of a thermoplastic tube; gripping the tube on either side by using retaining members; pulling the tube apart, causing a middle zone to narrow; pushing the inner wall of the middle zone against each other to obtain a closure; and cutting through the closed-off middle zone to obtain two separate tubular parts. Further is provided a system for pulling apart a tube, the system may include a first retaining member which is provided for insertion into the first zone via the first end and a second retaining member provided for insertion into the second zone via the second end, each retaining member being adjustable between a first position in which the retaining member fits inside the tube and a second position in which, in use, the retaining member exerts a pressure on the inner wall of the tube.

CONVEYING APPARATUS, RESIN MOLDING APPARATUS, CONVEYING METHOD, AND RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT MANUFACTURING METHOD
The present invention relates to a conveyance device with which a subject to be molded can be positioned relative to a forming die. This conveyance device conveys a subject to be molded to one die from among forming dies to which a resin material is supplied from a resin injection part and comprises a retaining unit which retains and delivers the subject to be molded to the one die, a first movement mechanism which moves the subject to be molded having been delivered to the one die in a first direction toward the resin injection part, and a second movement mechanism which moves the subject to be molded having been delivered to the one die in a second direction differing from the first direction.
Mineral-filled polymer articles and methods of forming same
Mineral-filled polymer compositions and methods of forming such polymer compositions into a thermally stable article are provided. Methods of forming a polymeric article include providing a polymer composition comprising a crystallizable polymer, a mineral filler in an amount of more than about 15 wt-% based on the total weight of the polymer composition, and an impact modifier, wherein the polymer composition is at a temperature less than a crystallization temperature of the crystallizable polymer. The methods further include disposing the polymer composition in a mold, forming the polymer composition into an article within the mold, and releasing the article from the mold. The methods can include thermoforming the polymer composition in a mold, or injection molding the polymer composition in a molten form in a mold.
