LAMINATE MANUFACTURING
A manufacturing system (1) for manufacturing shaped laminates including: forming tools (2.1, 2.2) extending along a longitudinal direction X, located parallel to one another and configured to receive a laminate (4) between the forming tools; a shaping tool (3) extending along the longitudinal direction X and along a transversal direction Z, and configured to receive the laminate (4) on an external surface of the shaping tool, wherein the forming tools (2.1, 2.2) or the shaping tool (3) are movable in the longitudinal direction X and in the transversal direction Z, relative to the at least one of the shaping tool (3) and the two forming tools (2.1, 2.2).
Heated polymeric sheet material feeding process
A heated polymeric sheet material feeding process. The process may include heating a polymeric sheet in a heating zone to a forming temperature to form a heated polymeric sheet material. The process may further include transferring, while under a feeding vacuum range, the heated polymeric sheet from the heating zone to feed the heated polymeric sheet material into a forming zone under the feeding vacuum range.
Method for manufacturing a plastic part forming a human-machine control interface
A method for manufacturing a plastic part forming a human-machine control interface includes formation of a decorative film, formation of a technical film including a layer of haptic actuators and a layer of capacitive sensors, assembly to form an interface film, positioning in an injection mould, including an upper portion and a lower portion including a moveable support pad capable of coming into contact with the interface film such that a thickness is left free between the interface film and the lower portion of the injection mould outside of the support pad, injection of a plastic material into the free thickness on either side of the support pad, and opening of the injection mould and ejection of the plastic part formed.
LAMINATE HAVING MICROSTRUCTURED SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE LAMINATE
A laminate, including a substrate having a microstructure on a surface thereof; and a coating layer formed on the substrate and encapsulating the microstructure of the substrate. A glass transition temperature T.sub.1 of the substrate is higher than a glass transition temperature T.sub.2 of the coating layer. A method of producing an ophthalmic lens, including deforming the laminate into a shape of the ophthalmic lens by applying heat and/or pressure at a temperature of lower than T.sub.1.
TEXTILES AND ARTICLES AND PROCESSES FOR MAKING THE SAME
Films, fibers, filaments, yarns and textiles including thermoplastic elastomeric compositions are described, as are methods of making the films, fibers, filaments, yarns and textiles. These films, fibers, filaments, yarns and textiles can be used to make articles of apparel, footwear, and sporting equipment. When thermoformed, the thermoplastic elastomeric compositions can impart abrasion resistance, traction, and other advantageous properties to the articles. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
Shower Pan
A shower pan and method of manufacture are described. Embodiments of the shower pan can include, but are not limited to, a solid surface top layer and a PET second layer that can be thermoformed, molded, and laminated in a single step. The solid surface top layer can be approximately ⅛″ to ¼″ thick and the PET second layer can be approximately ⅞″ to 1⅛″ thick. The shower pan may further include a third layer being fiberglass.

Vehicle control panel and production method
A method of producing a control panel for a vehicle. The method includes the following operations: a) producing a touch-sensitive film, the touch-sensitive film including a film, a conductive layer, a main decorative layer, and a secondary decorative layer, the conductive layer being arranged on an inner face of the film, the main decorative layer being arranged on an outer face of the film, and the secondary decorative layer having at least one critical deformation portion arranged on the inner face of the film in at least one corresponding critical deformation zone; b) shaping said touch-sensitive film, the touch-sensitive film being shaped in a non-developable three-dimensional manner in each critical deformation zone; and c) molding a layer of plastic material onto the main decorative layer.
