METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SHAFT-SHAPE COMPOSITE MEMBER
To provide a method of manufacturing a shaft-shape composite member in which a bent section is suitably treated. A plurality of thermosetting fiber-reinforced resin materials made of a UD material is supplied to a bending section of a mold in a state of being aligned in parallel to an axial direction of a cavity to form a UD material layer. Subsequently, after forming a tubular member having the UD material layer by the metal mold, by thermally curing the tubular member, the shaft-shape composite member having the bent section can be obtained. When manufacturing the shaft-shape composite member, a cross-section orthogonal to the axial direction of each of the fiber-reinforced resin materials has a circular shape.
APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DISPLAY APPARATUS
An apparatus for and a method of manufacturing a display apparatus are provided. The apparatus includes a first mold configured to accommodate a window; a second mold configured to accommodate a panel member and to bond the window and the panel member to each other; and a guide roller on the first mold. The second mold faces the first mold and has a variable shape. The guide roller is rotatable and is configured to maintain tension in the panel member as the window and the panel member are bonded to each other.
THERMOFORMING PROCESS FOR PATTERNED FABRIC SUBSTRATE
Disclosed herein is a composite of a thermoformable fabric and an elastomer which together have been subjected to thermoformable moulding to provide a 3-dimensionally thermoformed fabric article in the form of a textile or in the form of the whole or part of a garment. The article presents an appearance that is substantially free of permanent wrinkles. Also disclosed herein is a process to make said article.
APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR THE THERMO-FORMING AND/OR THERMO-ADHESIVE BONDING OF SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS
An apparatus for the thermo-forming and/or thermo-adhesive bonding of semi-finished products comprises: an oven (6) having walls (8, 9, 11, 12) delimiting a chamber (13) configured for housing at least one semi-finished product (4); devices (15, 16, 20) for generating a flow of heated fluid; wherein at least one of the walls (11) has a plurality of openings (19) in fluid communication with the devices (15, 16, 20). Baffles (23) and/or closing elements (24) are mounted near at least some of the openings (19). The baffles (23) are configured to divert the heated fluid leaving the openings (19). The closing elements (24) are configured to obstruct some of the openings (19). The baffles (23) and/or the closing elements (24) are movable with respect to the walls (11) and/or they are replaceable, in order to change conditions of the flow of heated fluid in the chamber (13).
CUP LID
A liquid container includes a brim forming a mouth opening into a product receiving chamber formed in a cup. A lid is coupled to the rim to close the mouth of the cup.
Modular thermoforming system
A thermoforming system and related methods for manufacturing thermoplastic parts, such as interior panels for aircraft, may include a roll-to-roll operation and a forming press having at least one selectively rotatable tool. The rotatable tool, which may include a mold and/or a die, may be multifaceted, such that different faces of the tool have different mold arrangements for different forming characteristics.
Apparatus and method for laminating a film part on a carrier part, method for laminating a carrier part with a film part, method for retrofitting a tool as well as installation for producing a component laminated with a film layer
The invention relates to an apparatus for laminating a film part, in particular a decorative layer, on a carrier part having a laminating region in which the film part can be laminated onto the carrier part, in particular onto a motor vehicle interior trim part, having an edge region arranged adjacent to this laminating region in which the film part projects beyond the carrier part in order to produce a bend-around region on the film part which can subsequently be bent around a carrier part edge, and having a tool in which the tool comprises a first tool half for producing a surface design on the film part and a second tool half for receiving the carrier part, wherein the first tool half comprises thermally differently acting sub-regions, namely a first sub-region with a contour for the surface design which interacts with the laminating region and a thermal sub-region which interacts with the edge region adjacent to the laminating region.
Method for the three-dimensional shaping of an object from a flexible cord, a cord for carrying out the method and an object produced in this way
A method of three-dimensionally shaping articles, such as articles that are difficult to transport, includes the following successive steps: placing at least one flexible cord (1) on a former (10), the cord (1) incorporating a heating electrical resistance surrounded by at least a first set of yarns of thermoplastic polymer material; connecting the flexible cord (1) to an electrical power supply for a given duration to cause the thermoplastic polymer of at least the first set of yarns surrounding the heating resistance to soften, the cord then taking on the shape imposed by the former (10); cooling the cord; and optionally removing the former (10) in order to obtain the three-dimensional object.
Aligner manufacturing system
A system includes a heating section configured to heat a sheet of plastic to generate a heated sheet of plastic. The system includes a plate configured to secure a mold associated with a dental arch of a patient. The plate includes a locking mechanism. The mold includes feature configured to interface with the locking mechanism. The system further includes a thermoforming chamber configured to thermoform the heated sheet of plastic to the mold that is secured to the plate via an interface of the locking mechanism with the feature to generate a thermoformed sheet of plastic. The locking mechanism is configured to extend through the mold and overlap an upper surface of the mold to lock the mold in a z-direction that is orthogonal to a plane defined by the plate. The system further includes a cutting tool configured to trim an aligner from the thermoformed sheet of plastic.
