Preform for manufacturing a combined heating and anti-surge apparatus, and apparatus constituted therefrom
A preform that is embodied for manufacture of a combined heating and anti-surge apparatus for automotive operating fluid tanks, in particular for automotive reservoir tanks for aqueous urea solution, encompasses a planar plastic component having at least one electrical resistance heating trace provided thereon and having anti-surge baffles embodied integrally with the planar plastic component and standing off therefrom, the planar plastic component including as functional portions a heating portion having at least one electrical resistance heating trace provided thereon and an anti-surge portion, two functional portions of the plastic component being connected to one another movably relative to one another.
CONTINUOUS ANALYTE MONITOR INSERTER APPARATUS AND METHODS
An apparatus for inserting a continuous analyte monitoring transmitter that includes an outer member, an inner member configured to telescope relative to the outer member, a transmitter, a bias member, an insertion device, and a pivot member. Force is applied to press the outer member toward an insertion site over the duration of a stroke. During a first portion of the stroke, the pivot member cannot pivot and the motion of the outer member translates to the insertion device until the biosensor is inserted at the insertion site. Over a second portion of the stroke, the continued motion causes a first pivot window in the outer member to overlap with a second pivot window in the inner member, allowing the pivot member to pivot and retract the insertion device from the insertion site, leaving the implanted biosensor. Upon completion of the stroke, the position of the pivot member is locked into place by engaging a locking feature of the bias member with the second pivot window to prevent the insertion member from re-entering the insertion site.

TOUCH FASTENERS AND METHODS OF FORMATION
Aspects disclosed herein relate to forming on a substrate fastener elements suitable for use in touch fastener by employing vibration forming methods. The processes described provide for a greater flexibility in manufacturing than prior methods and overcome certain limitations in prior forming techniques. Further, the product made can embody a variety of different configurations suitable for a given application. Employing vibration forming methods, such as ultrasonic forming methods, allows for the use of a wider variety of substrate material than materials used with convention methods of touch fastener formation.
FIXTURE DEVICE FOR FOLDING A SEAL MEMBER
A fixation device for folding a seal member includes a frame having a horizontal portion and an upright portion, a press assembly secured to the upright portion of the frame, and a nest assembly secured to the horizontal portion of the frame. The press assembly includes a handle assembly and an anvil assembly operably connected to the handle assembly. The nest assembly includes a clamping assembly, a folding assembly supported on the clamping assembly, a support assembly supported on the folding assembly, and a nest member. The support assembly includes a support plate and a seal clamp for securing a seal member.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SHEET LAMINATE, MOLD FOR MOLDING SHEET LAMINATE, AND SHEET LAMINATE
A method for manufacturing a sheet laminate to be affixed to an adherent surface of an object, the method comprising preparing a sheet member having a front surface to become a design surface and a rear surface on which an adhesive part has been formed, bending an edge part of the sheet member by sandwiching the sheet member from a front surface side and a rear surface side in a mold, and heating a part of a bent sheet member. The sheet laminate has a flat part spreading out in a flat plate shape, a side surface on which the edge part bent by the bending step is configured, and a connecting surface protruding and curving toward the front surface side between the flat part and the side surface, and in the heating step, the connecting surface is partially heated after the side surface is molded in the bending step.
