CONSOLIDATED COMPOSITES FROM METAL MATRIX COMPOSITE TAPE
A winding method and apparatus for producing a consolidated metal matrix composite is described. The methods are directed to winding softened metal matrix composite tape and layering the resulting softened metal matrix composite tape onto a rotating mandrel in a prescribed pattern on the surface of the mandrel to form a consolidated metal matrix composite. Upon cooling, the matrix metal solidifies and the resulting consolidated metal matrix composite may be removed from the mandrel. The consolidated metal matrix composites may be produced in a variety of shapes, such as cylinder, a tapered cylinder, a sphere, an ovoid, a cube, a rectangular solid, a polygonal solid, and panels.
Machine and method for simultaneously laying cables in a helix on the outer surface of a unit element of a fluid transport duct
A machine (4) and a method therefore, for laying cables helically on the outside surface of a unit pipe element (2) for transporting fluids, the machine having a rotary frame (14) for centering about an axis of symmetry (X-X) of the unit pipe element, the frame supporting a plurality of winding elements designed to receive cables, each being situated in a respective plane that is longitudinal relative to the unit pipe element and the planes being spaced apart from one another around the axis of symmetry of the unit pipe element, means for adjusting the angle of inclination of each winding element relative to the longitudinal plane in which it is situated, a linear travel stepper motor for moving the frame along the unit pipe element, and a rotary travel stepper motor for causing the frame to turn about that axis of symmetry of the unit pipe element.
HOLDER OPTIMIZED FOR VIEWING AND BROWSING DISPLAY CONTENT, A DIVIDER, AND METHODS OF MANUFATURING SAID HOLDER
A holder for display content is described. The display holder includes a main section, a first side panel, and a second side panel. The main section provides a base, a back panel, and a front panel. The back panel protrudes from a back edge of the base. The front panel protrudes from a front edge of the. The first side panel is attached to a first edge of the main section and the second side panel is attached to a second edge of the main section. The main section, the first side panel, and the second side panel define a recess for receiving the display content. A plurality of dividers are provided that securely fit the width of the main section receiving the display content.
Composite tape laying apparatus with travel distance adjustment capability
The disclosure relates to a tape laying apparatus configured to lay prepreg tape to mould surface. The tape laying apparatus includes a tape supply spool, a compaction head, a cutting tool and at least one travel distance adjustment component. The tape supply spool is configured for the prepreg tape to be wound thereon. The compaction head is configured for delivering the prepreg tape to the mould surface from the tape supply spool. The cutting tool is movable along a cutting path. The cutting tool is configured to cut the prepreg tape passing through the cutting path. The at least one travel distance adjustment component is movably located between the cutting path and the compaction head and configured to push the prepreg tape passing through the cutting path so as to increase or decrease a travel distance of the prepreg tape from the cutting path to the compaction head.
Anti-dogleg electronic measurement device
A method and electronic measurement device are provided for putting multiple bends in a conduit while controlling the angular relationship of the bends relative to each other about the longitudinal axis of the conduit. The device includes an electronic component configured to generate a first signal that varies based on an angle of rotation of the component about an x-axis, and a housing carrying the electronic component and having a conduit mount structure configured to mount the housing on a conduit with the x-axis in parallel alignment with the longitudinal axis of the conduit.
TERRACE FOLDING SYSTEM OF SECONDARY BATTERY CELL
Disclosed is a terrace folding system of a secondary battery cell, including a transfer unit which transports a secondary battery cell; and a folding unit which is disposed along the transfer unit and is temporally separated from the transfer unit to fold a terrace of the secondary battery cell.
FILAMENT WINDING APPARATUS
In a filament winding apparatus, a supplying device supplies fiber bundles to a surface of a core material. A moving part is movable relative to the core material, and rotatable around a rotational axis extending in a vertical direction. A small diameter aligning guide part is placed at the moving part and has an opening portion through which the core material can pass. The small diameter aligning guide part guides fiber bundles to an outer peripheral surface of the core material such that the fiber bundles are arranged side by side in a circumferential direction of the core material. The tightening fiber bobbin supporting part is placed at the moving part and rotates around a center of the opening portion. A winding guide rotates with the tightening fiber bobbin supporting part and guides a tightening fiber bundle drawn from a tightening fiber bobbin toward the surface of the core material.
Tank production method and tank
A tank production method for preventing generation of non-uniform stacked portions in a sheet layer while securing the strength of the tank, the method including a winding step of winding resin-impregnated fiber sheets to form a sheet layer with a predetermined thickness. The winding step includes divided winding steps of winding divided fiber sheets obtained by dividing a fiber sheet into a plurality of divided fiber sheets having a length shorter than the length required to form the sheet layer with the predetermined thickness. The second divided winding step or each of the second and following divided winding step satisfies an Inequality: X>(σ.Math.t.Math.L)/(A.Math.W), where an overlapped length of the start end of a new divided fiber sheet stacked on the terminal end of the divided fiber sheet wound in the preceding divided winding step is X, the tensile stress applied to the tank in the circumferential direction thereof is σ, the thickness and width of each divided fiber sheet are t and W, respectively, the length of a cylindrical portion of the tank is L, and the shearing strength of the resin is A.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SURFACE-LAYERED PART
An apparatus for manufacturing a surface-layered part includes: a main support that supports a surface layer member to be placed under a base member; a pulling device arranged at a periphery of the main support, wherein the pulling device includes a pulling member that pulls an edge of the surface layer member outward with respect to the support member; a base member clamping device that fixedly clamps the surface layer member, having been pulled outward by the pulling member, against the main support via the base member placed over the surface layer member; and a relieving device that separates the pulling member from the edge of the surface layer member to allow the edge of the surface layer member to wrap around the edge of the base member by an elastic restoring force of the surface layer member, thereby integrating them.
