A method for preparing an object including at least one film including at least one layer including a composition including at least one semi-crystalline polyamide having a melt enthalpy of between 25 J/g and 75 J/g, the film having on all or part of at least one of its surfaces the texture of a texturing element, wherein the method includes: a. providing a mold set to a temperature less than or equal to 120 C.; b. applying to the wall of the mold, at least one texturing element, and having at least partially a textured surface, the textured surface being on the face opposite that facing the mold; c. applying to the textured surface of the texturing element, at least one film comprising at least one layer, the thickness of the layer being at least 10 m; d. applying heat and pressure to the film.

Systems and methods for igniting plasma within tubes

A system is provided for generating plasma within narrow diameter tubes, e.g., tubes with an inner diameter of less than 1 millimeter. The system may comprise the tube, a nozzle connected to at least one end of the tube configured to supply a gas into the interior of the tube at atmospheric pressure, at least one ring-shaped anode electrode and configured to surround an outer surface of the tube, at least one ring-shaped cathode electrode spaced apart from the anode electrode along the longitudinal axis and configured to surround the outer surface of the tube, and a voltage source connected to the at least one anode electrode. When activated, the system is configured to generate an electric field between the electrodes which ignites a plasma within the gas in the interior of the tube.

Digital printed 3-D patterned emblem with graphics for soft goods

A multidimensional heat-seal emblem having a digitally-printed image on one side in registration to a three-dimensional relief profile. The emblem has enhanced aesthetic impact, flex, stretch, durability and is suitable for soft goods. A method of production is also disclosed that provides 0.05 mm level relief detail with high profile features up to 6 mm in height.

Antimicrobial plastics and methods of preparing the same

A method for preparing the antimicrobial plastic includes contacting a non-leachable antimicrobial agent to a surface of a plastic article to form the antimicrobial plastic. In certain variations, the contacting includes applying a precursor antimicrobial layer including non-leachable antimicrobial agents to a surface of a plastic article to form a precursor assembly and hot pressing the precursor assembly to embed the non-leachable antimicrobial agents within the surface of the plastic article to form the antimicrobial plastic. In other variations, the contacting includes preparing an antimicrobial layer including a non-leachable antimicrobial agent on a foil and transferring the antimicrobial layer from the foil to the surface of the plastic article to form the antimicrobial plastic, where the transferring includes contacting the antimicrobial layer and the surface of the plastic article and applying a transfer temperature that is greater than a softening temperature of the plastic article.
