THIN FILM PAINTS AND METHODS OF APPLICATION ON CORNERS
Methods of applying a paint film on a substrate may include adhering a corner patch on at least a portion of a corner of the substrate and adhering a paint film sheet on the substrate such that the corner is within a corner relief pattern of the paint film sheet. The corner relief pattern may correspond to a recess along an edge of the paint film sheet. The paint film sheet may partially overlap with and bond with the corner patch, thereby providing a continuous paint film over at least the corner of the substrate. Cosmetic paint films configured for adhering onto an exterior panel of a motor vehicle are also provided.
PROCESS FOR COATING A PREFORMED SUBSTRATE
Process for coating a preformed substrate (1), comprising providing a semi-finished product (2) comprising the preformed substrate (1) and a coating layer (3), providing a mould (4) comprising a first (5) and a second half-mould (6), the first half-mould (5) comprising an elastically deformable membrane (8) which at least partially forms a respective conformation surface (7), arranging the semi-finished product (2) on the second half-mould (6), putting under depression a fluid (11) acting on the membrane (8) to maintain the membrane (8) adherent to a main body (50) of the first half-mould, closing the mould (4) maintaining a free distance between the conformation surface (7) of the first half-mould (5) and the semi-finished product (2), pressurizing the fluid (11) to expand the membrane (8) towards the second half-mould (6) for compressing the semi-finished product, maintaining the membrane (8) in the second configuration, heating the semi-finished product (2) for firmly fixing the preformed substrate (1) and the coating layer (3) to each other.
Inverted Filament Winder Method for Pipeline Rehabilitation
A pipe lining apparatus and methodology having a UV-curable, resin-impregnated reinforcement filament that is helically wound onto the inner surface of a tubular first lining layer disposed within a pipe by an inverted filament winding apparatus, the apparatus having a UV light to initiate curing of the filament as it is applied to the lining layer so as to bond the filament to the lining layer and rigidify the filament. A rigid second layer is then applied onto the filament winding layer and the first lining layer.
Inverted Filament Winder for Pipeline Rehabilitation
A pipe lining apparatus having a UV-curable, resin-impregnated reinforcement filament that is helically wound onto the inner surface of a tubular first lining layer disposed within a pipe by an inverted filament winding apparatus, the apparatus having a UV light to initiate curing of the filament as it is applied to the lining layer so as to bond the filament to the lining layer and rigidify the filament.
METHODS OF FORMING A DECORATIVE PANEL
A method of forming a decorative panel includes pressing a decorative layer in relation to a substrate. The decorative layer includes one or more decorative elements, such as one or more of coloration, text, graphics, or the like.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLICATION OF THERMOSETTING TAPE ON SURFACES
There is provided a method for applying thermosetting tape on contoured resilient surfaces off an object which comprises biasing selected section(s) of the resilient member to minimize tape and object distortion. There is also provided a tape laying apparatus configured to enable the optimization of automatic tape application on resilient contoured surfaces and minimize tape and object distortion.
METHOD FOR APPLYING PATCHES TO HELMET COVERS
A template made of plexiglass or similar material is inserted into a cover for a protective helmet so that the cover is stretched and once the template is inserted the assembled combination of the cover and the template is oval-shaped. The oval-shaped assembly is placed on top of the bottom plate of a heat press. A layer with a decal or sticker is placed on top of the oval-shaped assembly. A heat press cover sheet is then placed on top of the oval-shaped assembly so that it also becomes into contact with the top plate of the heat press when the heat press is closed. The heat press may be set to a temperature of at least 350 degrees Fahrenheit and it can be set in a closed position for at least 10 seconds in order to transfer sufficient heat so that the decal or sticker is applied or affixed to the cover surface.
Cold lamination with radiation
A process for laminating a material layer to a support including: providing the support, applying the material layer to the support, a heat-activatable adhesive being applied to s side of the material layer facing the dimensionally stable support and/or to the side of the dimensionally stable support facing the material layer, pressing the flexible material layer and the dimensionally stable support together by means of a lower dimensionally stable mold half and an upper dimensionally stable mold half, irradiating the mold halves, the support and the material layer with electromagnetic radiation, in particular with microwave radiation, high-frequency radiation or induction radiation, whereby the adhesive is activated directly or indirectly.
Method for processing components with high standard of cleanliness, and production line applying the method
A production line for producing components to a high standard of cleanliness and sealed and protected in that state includes a loading device, a cleaning device, a detecting device, a pasting device, a heat-sealing device, a packing device, and transfer devices of the production line. The production line automatically processes the components for obtaining components with the high cleanliness. By the processes of protective film pasting, heat-sealing, and packing, the components may be further protected from subsequent pollution. A method for producing components with a high cleanliness applied to the production line is also disclosed.
Adhesive sheet material application device and method
According to one aspect of the present invention, an adhesive sheet material application device is disclosed, which includes a roller support bar, a handle, and a roller, where the handle and the roller are connected to the roller support bar, a portion of the handle is parallel to the roller, and the roller is rotatable. In another aspect of the present invention, a second handle is connected to the roller support bar and the second handle has a strap. According to another aspect of the present invention, a method of using the adhesive sheet material application device is disclosed, which includes securing a portion of adhesive sheet material to a surface, applying the adhesive sheet material to the surface with the adhesive sheet material application device, and regressing and eradicating bubbles between the adhesive sheet material and surface.
