Machine and method for installing a coating sheet over welded end sections of pipeline
A pipe joint coating for welded ends of pipes forming a pipeline. A last and third layer of a 3LPP coating system covering at least a circumferential weld area of the pipe joint is a heated sheet applied around the pipe with a machine including a mounting frame and a transport carriage rotatably movable on the mounting frame to move circumferentially about the pipe joint, and a roller applying an adjusted pressure to the sheet against the pipe and adapting to eccentricity or ovality of the pipe. The sheet is pressed below the pipe away from its overlapping ends, a first part of the sheet is then applied when the roller is rolled in a first direction, and a second part of the sheet is applied by the roller rolled back in the reverse direction around the pipe. The sheet is dimensioned to obtain an overlapped area between its extremities.
Laminate applicator
A device for laminating panels that includes a base that includes an upper surface, a front edge and a rear edge, and a folding assembly that includes a first surface that is generally perpendicular with the upper surface of the base, a folding portion having an inner surface, a front edge and a rear edge. A folding path is defined from the front edge of the folding portion to the rear edge of the folding portion. An angle that is defined between the inner surface of the folding portion and the first surface decreases along the folding path.
Device for machining and/or coating a workpiece
The invention relates to a device (1) for machining a workpiece (2) which preferably consist at least in sections of wood, wood material or synthetic material and/or for coating the workpiece (2) with a coating material (4), comprising: a machining device (30, 40) for machining the workpiece (2), and a conveyor (20) for affecting a relative movement between the workpiece (2) and the machining device (30, 40), a controller for controlling the conveyor (20) and the machining device (30, 40), characterized in that the device (1) further has at least one workpiece measuring device (22) which is configured to measure at least one property of the workpiece (2), in particular a property of a surface (2) of the workpiece (2) to be machined or to be coated.
CONSTRUCTION OF TUBULAR ASSEMBLIES
A method and apparatus for constructing a tubular assembly 40 comprising an inner portion (24) and a further portion (23) surrounding the inner portion. The inner portion (24) comprises reinforcement (37) and the further portion (23) being formed from a strip (50) of material comprising two opposed longitudinal marginal side portions (53). The apparatus comprises an assembly station (220) comprising a wall (253). The apparatus comprises means for advancing the inner portion (21) along a first path (231) extending passed the wall (253), and means for advancing the strip (50) along a second path (232) and causing the strip to encircle the wall (253) and thereby wrap about and surround the inner portion (21). The apparatus further comprises means (321) for introducing resinous binder into the reinforcement (37) as the strip (50) is being wrapped about the inner portion (21).
Method that Forms Pattern on Fabric Member and Fixes Pattern on Trim
A method can be used to attach a fabric member to a trim while forming a pattern in the fabric member. A trim has trim grooves formed in one side of the trim and a fabric member has a foam formed in one side of a skin material of the fabric member. A bonding member is coated to an outer surface of the foam and the fabric member is heated where the bonding member is coated. The heated fabric member is placed on the side of the trim where the trim grooves are formed. The fabric member is fixed to the trim by inserting edges of the fabric member into the trim grooves using insertion blades while pattern protrusions formed in a compression jig form a pattern by pressing the skin material of the fabric member.
Adhesive sheet material application device and method
According to one aspect of the present invention, an adhesive sheet material application device is disclosed, which includes a roller support bar, a roller support member, a first and second handle, and a roller. According to another aspect of the present invention, an adhesive sheet material application device is disclosed which includes a roller support member, a roller, and a second handle.
Protective covering for wood products
Protective coverings herein have a coated woven material with a first edge parallel with a warp direction and a second edge opposite the first edge, and have a first edge band proximate the first edge and a second edge band proximate the second edge. The coated woven material has a woven scrim made of a plurality of weft tapes and a plurality of warp tapes, but the warp tapes positioned in the first and second edge bands are high-shrinkage warp tapes and the warp tapes positioned in between the first and second edge bands have a shrinkage that is less than a shrinkage of the high-shrinkage warp tapes, and has a coating on at least one major surface of the woven scrim. The plurality of high-shrinkage warp tapes shrink upon application of heat. Methods of covering a load, such as stacked lumber, with the protective covering are also disclosed.
FIXTURE FOR BONDING PURPOSES AND METHOD FOR BONDING USING THE FIXTURE
A fixture for bonding films to an object includes a base, a cavity wall fixed to the base, and a receiving cavity defined by the cavity wall and the base. The cavity wall includes opposing inner and outer surfaces and an end surface at an end away from the base. The end surface defines protrusions interconnecting with recesses and being recessed towards the base. Each recess penetrates the inner surface and the outer surface. A method for employing the device is also provided. The fixture and the method for bonding avoid center wrapping after bonding.
Method and apparatus for coating solid wood floor and solid wood floor
A method and an apparatus for coating a solid wood floor and a solid wood floor are provided. The method for coating a solid wood floor includes providing a solid wood floor, where the solid wood floor has two side surfaces defining boundaries of a width dimension of the solid wood floor; and providing a polyethylene protective film, and adhering the polyethylene protective film to at least one of the two side surfaces. Therefore, external moisture can be prevented from entering the solid wood floor so as to avoid deformation of the floor due to moisture; an external dust, water, etc. can be prevented from entering between two adjacent solid wood floors; an overall appearance of the laid solid wood floors will not be affected by the coating; when the laid solid wood floors are subjected to force, no noise will be emitted, thereby improving customer satisfaction.
