APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SURFACE-LAYERED PART
An apparatus for manufacturing a surface-layered part comprises: a main support that supports a surface layer member to be placed wider a base member; a pulling device arranged at a periphery of the main support, wherein the pulling device includes a pulling member that pulls an edge of the surface layer member outward with respect to the support member; a base member clamping device that fixedly clamps the surface layer member, having been pulled outward by the pulling member, against the main support via the base member placed over the surface layer member; and a relieving device that separates the pulling member from the edge of the surface layer member to allow the edge of the surface layer member to wrap around the edge of the base member by an elastic restoring force of the surface layer member, thereby integrating them.
Methods for fabricating medical devices and portions of medical devices
Methods for making medical devices and portions of medical devices (e.g., intravascular catheters, catheter shafts, and tubular guiding members) are provided. Example methods may include providing a first ribbon comprising one or more thermoplastic materials and a piece of shrink tubing defining a shrink tube lumen and forming a first assembly by positioning the first ribbon inside the shrink tube lumen and urging the first ribbon to assume a tubular shape in which the first ribbon defines a ribbon lumen. A second assembly may be formed by loading an inner tubular member over a mandrel and forming or placing a support structure over an outer surface of the inner tubular member. A third assembly may be formed by inserting the second assembly into the ribbon lumen defined by the first ribbon of the first assembly. The third assembly may be heated to a process temperature.
FILM APPLICATION APPARATUS AND FILM APPLICATION METHOD
To provide a film application apparatus and a film application method allowing a film to be applied to a target object partially having a recessed and projecting shape. A film application apparatus is a film application apparatus for applying a film to a target object. The film application apparatus includes a first roller, and a second roller. The first roller extends in a first direction intersecting a vertical direction. The first roller is configured to press the film disposed on an upper side of the target object from above, and is configured to move in a second direction intersecting the first direction and the vertical direction. The second roller extends in the first direction. The second roller is configured to press the film disposed on an upper side of the target object from above, and is configured to move in the second direction. The second roller is disposed on at least one of an upstream side and a downstream side of the first roller in a moving direction in the second direction.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL FORMED OBJECT, METHOD FOR OBTAINING THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT FROM TWO-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THREE-DIMENSIONAL PLATE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FEMALE MOLD
Provided is a method of three-dimensionalizing a planar image, including: a shaping step (S1) of shaping a main body (6) three-dimensionally representing a planar image of a form of an object (1) to be shaped; a coating step (S2) of applying a base material to a surface of the main body (6); a digitizing step (S3) of creating image data of the object (1) to be shaped based on the planar image; a sticker creating step (S4) of creating a wrapping sticker (8) having printed thereon the image data of the object (1) to be shaped; and an affixing step (S5) of affixing the wrapping sticker (8) to the surface of the main body (6).
Manufacturing method for tank
A manufacturing method for a tank is a method of manufacturing the tank by winding fibers impregnated with an epoxy resin in a plurality of layers around an outer circumference of a liner having a body part and dome parts provided at both ends of the body part. The manufacturing method includes sequentially laminating a plurality of hoop layers by hoop-winding the fibers from a side closer to an outer circumference of the body part toward a side farther from the outer circumference of the body part. When laminating the hoop layers, a temperature of end portions of the body part adjacent to the dome parts is set lower than a temperature of a remaining portion of the body part, the remaining portion being a portion of the body part other than the end portions.
TAG ATTACHMENT BY SHRINK FILM
In one aspect, an article includes a first sleeve formed from a first heat-shrinkable polymer sheet, the first heat-shrinkable polymer sheet having opposed first and second edges, wherein the first sleeve is formed with a first seam proximate the first edge. A portion of the first heat-shrinkable polymer sheet extends between the first sleeve and the second edge. A tag is bonded to the portion of the first heat-shrinkable polymer sheet proximate the second edge at a first overlap zone of the tag and the portion of the first heat-shrinkable polymer sheet. In another aspect, an article includes a heat-shrinkable polymer sheet and a tag bonded to the sheet. The heat-shrinkable polymer sheet has a central area and a plurality of slits disposed through the sheet, at least one of the plurality of slits oriented to partially surround the central area.
Method for producing a double-walled pipe and a double-walled pipe
The application relates to a method for producing a double-walled pipe (1) and a pipe (1) of this type, having an outer pipe (3) which is press-fitted with an inner pipe (2) consisting of a corrosion-resistant alloy, wherein an adhesive (4) is inserted at least in regions between the outer pipe (3) and the inner pipe (2), wherein, after adhering the inner pipe (2) with the outer pipe (3), the inner pipe (2) and the adhesive layer (4) are removed at the pipe ends, and the inner side of the outer pipe (3) is plated via an integral connection with the inner pipe (2).
Hockey blade with pin-reinforced core
A construct for a hockey blade that includes a foam core. The foam core includes a first core face, a second core face, and a bottom core edge and a top core edge. Multiple pins are injected into the foam core, and one or more layers of resin preimpregnated tape are wrapped around the foam before forming a hockey blade structure in a heated mold.
