ROLL END AIR FITTING ADAPTER AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A roll end air fitting adapter is couplable to an end of a cylindrical roll. The adapter includes an inner ring and outer ring defining a central opening concentric with a roll axis, an annular air channel extending about the roll axis, and a plurality of air passages leading from the air channel through the inner ring and/or the outer ring to peripheral outlet openings in an outer circumferential surface(s) of the inner ring and/or the outer ring. A compliant sleeve is disposed along the roll axis with the peripheral outlet openings between the end of the compliant sleeve and the outer ring so that the compliant sleeve overlaps the peripheral outlet openings. Supplying air to the adapter ring by the air source to force air through the air channel and the peripheral outlet openings facilitates sliding the compliant sleeve onto the cylindrical roll.
HYBRID METALLIC/COMPOSITE JOINT WITH ENHANCED PERFORMANCE
A metallic/composite joint may comprise a composite member having a flared end or an angled end, a liner perimetrically surrounding the composite member, and a metallic member perimetrically surrounding the liner. A first side of the liner contacts the composite member and a second side of the liner contacts the metallic member. The liner perimetrically surrounds at least a portion of the flared end. A through-thickness compressive stiffness of the liner may be less than a similar stiffness of the composite member.

Carbon fiber tubular pole and method of manufacture
A carbon fiber tubular pole and method of construction thereof. The pole includes a left in place lightweight mandrel, preferably formed of tubular polyvinylchloride or cardboard, which substantially reduces cost of manufacture. A socket is formed in the carbon fiber tubular pole for receiving an adjacent carbon fiber tubular pole.
CATHETER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CATHETER
A catheter and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed, which can restrain a guide wire lumen and a dilation lumen from communicating with each other during thermal fusion-bonding while suppressing an increase in an outer diameter of a catheter shaft. A catheter has a catheter shaft in which a distal side shaft, an inner tube shaft, and a proximal side shaft are integrated with each other in a fusion region. The inner tube shaft has an opening portion which, opens outward and an arc-shaped portion which extends from the opening portion to a proximal side and which has only a portion of an entire circumference in a circumferential direction of the inner tube shaft. The fusion region includes the opening portion located on a distal side of a proximal end of the distal side shaft.

FIXING WRAP-AROUND LABELS WITH LED-CURABLE ADHESIVES
Provided herewith are methods of preparing a labeled article comprising curing an LED-curable adhesive on a film label such as a shrink film label, wherein at least portions of the LED-curable adhesive are disposed in the overlap formed between a leading edge and trailing edge of the film label. The curing can be conducted at a temperature below 70 C. and is suitable for labeling 500-720 articles per minute in a sequential manner. Also provided herewith are apparatus for labeling articles with film labels, such as shrink film labels comprising an LED station. Further, a method of retrofitting an existing hot-melt labeling system for use in labeling articles with film labels such as shrink film labels is also provided.
Surgical Instrument System And Irrigation Sleeve
A surgical instrument system including an endoscope having an elongated housing extending between a proximal instrument end and a distal instrument end. The surgical instrument system may further include an irrigation sleeve having a sleeve body extending between a proximal sleeve end and a distal sleeve end. The irrigation sleeve may further have a first lumen and a second lumen spaced out of fluid communication with the first lumen, the first lumen formed in the sleeve body for receiving at least a portion of the elongated housing of the endoscope with the distal instrument end arranged adjacent to the distal sleeve end. The second lumen may be formed in the sleeve body and extend between a lumen inlet adapted for fluid communication with an irrigation source and a lumen outlet arranged to direct irrigation fluid toward the distal instrument end.

ENHANCED FLEXIBILITY NEUROVASCULAR CATHETER
A catheter is provided, such as for distal neurovascular access or aspiration. The catheter includes an elongate flexible body, having a proximal end, a distal end and a side wall defining a central lumen. A distal zone of the side wall includes a tubular inner liner, a tie layer separated from the lumen by the inner liner, a helical coil surrounding the tie layer, adjacent windings of the coil spaced progressively further apart in the distal direction. An outer jacket surrounds the helical coil. The outer jacket is formed from a plurality of tubular segments positioned end to end, coaxially about the coil. The flexural load profile of the catheter as a function of catheter length is configured to provide enhanced distal flexibility while maintaining high backup support.
