Method For Manufacturing High-Pressure Tanks

A method for manufacturing tanks for storing or containing a fluid under pressure and a method for manufacturing pipes for containing or channeling a fluid under pressure, such as for storing, containing or channeling hydrogen, natural gas or a hydraulic fluid. The method is less complex than known procedures, can be employed in a continuous or semi-continuous manner and allows for a lower thickness of the shell made from the fibres. The method comprising providing a liner having a cylindrical portion with two ends and two dome portions at the respective ends of the cylindrical portions or a liner having a cylindrical portion and one or two open ends; fabricating a tube of fibre filaments by means of the pullwinding method; and wrapping the tube of fibre filaments onto the liner such that at least the cylindrical portion of the liner is enclosed by the tube of fibre filaments.

Irrigation Sleeves For Use With Surgical Systems

An irrigation sleeve, for use with a surgical system that comprises an irrigation source and a surgical tool having a tube to support a cutting accessory having a head, in turn comprises a body extending between proximal and distal ends. A first lumen formed in the body receives the tube. The head is adjacent the distal end. A second lumen formed in the body is spaced from the first lumen and comprises proximal and distal regions thereof. The proximal region of the second lumen extends from an inlet for fluid communication with the source, to a transition. The distal region of the second lumen is spaced out of fluid communication with the first lumen and extends from the transition to an outlet to direct fluid adjacent to the head.

A delivery pipe for transport of solids, having a double-walled pipe body having an inner pipe and a metallic outer pipe and at least one pipe collar arranged on an end. The delivery pipe is distinguished in that the inner pipe is made of a solid plastic material and a wear ring is inserted in the pipe collar, the inner diameter of which ring is less than or equal to the inner diameter of the inner pipe.

FIXING WRAP-AROUND LABELS WITH LED-CURABLE ADHESIVES

Provided herewith are methods of preparing a labeled article comprising curing an LED-curable adhesive on a film label such as a shrink film label, wherein at least portions of the LED-curable adhesive are disposed in the overlap formed between a leading edge and trailing edge of the film label. The curing can be conducted at a temperature below 70° C. and is suitable for labeling 500-720 articles per minute in a sequential manner. Also provided herewith are apparatus for labeling articles with film labels, such as shrink film labels comprising an LED station. Further, a method of retrofitting an existing hot-melt labeling system for use in labeling articles with film labels such as shrink film labels is also provided.

Process for creating a polymer filament suitable for use in three-dimensional printing

A thermoplastic filament comprising multiple polymers of differing flow temperatures in a regular geometric arrangement, and a method for producing such a filament, are described. Because of the difference in flow temperatures, there exists a temperature range at which one polymer is mechanically stable while the other is flowable. This property is extremely useful for creating thermoplastic monofilament feedstock for three-dimensionally printed parts, wherein the mechanically stable polymer enables geometric stability while the flowable polymer can fill gaps and provide strong bonding and homogenization between deposited material lines and layers. These multimaterial filaments can be produced via thermal drawing from a thermoplastic preform, which itself can be three-dimensionally printed. Furthermore, the preform can be printed with precisely controlled and complex geometries, enabling the creation of monofilament and fiber with unique decorative or functional properties.
